The novel Lay Figures by Mark Blagrave explores the complicated lives of artists, models, writers and dreamers in uptown Saint John in the 1930s and 40s, drawing from the lives of Miller Brittain and Ted Campbell. Now the novel, set here in NB, has hit the international stage, longlisted for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
