Children diagnosed on the spectrum, although they face their many difficulties and challenges, dwell within the pure righteousness of God. 1Peter 2:24 reminds us of the sacrificial love of Jesus, and the magnitude of His obedience. He not only purged our sins, in His body, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness, but through His sufferings and by every wound He endured, we have been healed. That means every lashing, nail and thorn that pierced His body, was accounted for in our healing.

When Jesus walked among us here on earth, He would take the time to stop and engage with the little children. He often highlighted their characteristics of innocence and humility, likening them to the template needed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We see throughout the scriptures; Jesus gave a great level of importance to the children ‘for such belongs to the kingdom of heaven’ (Matthew 19:14).

You see all along God had a plan for my life, and He does for your child too!

It is beyond incredible, to think that God formed and fashioned each of us in our mother’s womb, something we neither have the cognizance or capability to do ourselves! Psalm 139 is a divine exhibition of how intricately God is invested in each of our lives. After I accepted Jesus as my Lord and personal saviour, at the age of 14, my life transformed in a phenomenal way.  For the very first time, I had peace in my heart, and a clarity in my mind, so much so, I was able to recollect information from the subjects I had taught to me.

It is a well-known fact that parents are found to be one of the most influential role models in the lives of their child.  For me to have parents who were bible believing, born again Christians, was an absolute blessing. Thankfully my parents lived their lives out of the word of God, rather than the world.  I watched and learnt so much from them, and because of this, I formed a relationship with Jesus. That changed my life forever!

I remember how much my life began to change, after a Pastor from the USA, laid hands on me and prayed that I would be baptised in the speaking of tongues.  After this took place, I too, along with my parents, began to pray in tongues.

Growing up as a child with Autism, Aspergers and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, it was difficult for me to understand a lot of things that were going on in and around me.  It was like something completely blocked my ability to take things in. On top of that, I would hear voices, saying “do this, or do that.” Psychologists now a days call that psychosis. My mind was totally blinded and my ability to comprehend was not there; I was blinded in my thinking, I was blinded in my conversation, I was blinded in my pronunciation, and I was blinded from my future.    My head was a walking civil war, so I would seek comfort, by falling asleep on my father’s chest.

I thank and praise God, that He heard my parent’s prayers, saw their tears and healed me.
