Jessica Cler serves as the Alaska State Director for Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii, and directs organizing, advocacy, and electoral efforts to promote, protect, and advance access to sexual health, education, and reproductive rights in Alaska. She has fought against repeal of the Affordable Care Act, attempts to defund Planned Parenthood, and efforts to ban Planned Parenthood educators from providing sex ed in schools. She has served on the steering committees for Alaska Women Ascend, which trains women to run for office, and Fair Anchorage, a coalition that helped defeat the anti-transgender ballot initiative in 2018. Raised in Wasilla, Jessica graduated from UAA with a BA in Political Science and Environmental Studies, and spent seven years working in the conservation movement.
