Gathering for the annual tradition of celebrating AUUF seniors as they bridge into young adulthood. 

Maria and Christopher Crawford are small business owners, proud Fairview residents, and Alaska-region supporters of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Their organization is a non-partisan, grassroots movement demanding common-sense solutions to the gun violence that endangers the nation’s families and communities. Its membership supports the Second Amendment and emphasizes that such support goes hand-in-hand with common-sense gun laws and a culture of gun safety. ‘We are not anti-gun,” Maria says. “We are anti-gun violence and pro-gun safety.”

The AUUF choir presents its annual concert. Selections included favorite anthems from throughout the year, solos and small groups, guest musicians Marcia Stratman and Emily Madsen, and of course, some of our favorite Rodgers and Hammerstein tunes.

Lori Townsend is the News Director for the Alaska Public Radio Network. She got her start in broadcasting at the age of 11 as the park announcer of the fastpitch baseball games in Deer Park, Wisconsin and has worked in print and broadcast journ choir presents its annual concert. Dermot Cole has worked as a newspaper reporter, columnist and author in Alaska for more than 40 years. For two decades he wrote a daily column for the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner while also penning several history books. More recently he served as a political reporter and columnist at the Alaska Dispatch News. Since the paper was sold, he’s continued working as a journalist through his political blog, “Reporting from Alaska” – where he’s broken several exclusive and important stories regarding the Dunleavy administration.
