In the Lord, we have unending light that penetrates the darkness. His light brings hope, peace, and the ability to see the path he leads us on. We need not fear what is hidden to us if our trust is in the Lord, for he is our protector from danger.

 What appears to be—and is—a command to worship could be perceived as a legal istic act, but it is actually the opposite for those who are after God’s heart and presence. The heart given to the Lord finds honor, anticipation, privilege, and fulfillment in exalting the Holy One in worship.

 The key is in this sentence: I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. Prayer is encour aged throughout the Bible as a normal and vital part of the Christian life, but unfortu nately, it’s often the most neglected spiritual practice. A church dinner will often pack a room, but a call for a prayer meeting practically empties it.
