Awake: Not Woke

We touched on the subject of Spiritual Alchemy briefly in The Dark Night episode, but this time around we are going into more detail about alchemy as a whole. We discuss all the little nuances that must be understood for any armature alchemists; what metals correspond with what planets, different sets of alchemical steps, and we barely even scratched the surface. Although alchemy is often associated with the physical transformation of lead into gold, we can learn so much from the archetypal symbols that these systems hold. We are both beginners in this subject so if you have anything to add to the conversation or any book recommendations for us, feel free to reach out and let us know!

You may remember Marija from her We Is Me appearance in episode 19 where we learned about her interesting life and had some great conversations. She had one story in particular that we decided deserved its own episode. This encounter Marija experienced understandably left quite the impact; a creature from the folklore of the Ojibwa tribe of the Great Lakes region, anyone finding themselves face to face with it would have nightmares for years. There is, however, a slight addendum to this episode: The creature we originally thought it was is not what we believe it to be now. Marija had more information surface after we recorded this episode. If you are interested in learning about the creature we now believe it to be, the tiktoks that illuminated this information can be found here & here.

We is Me /wē//iz//mē/ : The idea that we are all one and that all our realities coincide, yet are still but parts of The All. By interviewing those who are like ourselves, we see through their perspective and broaden our vision of The All, in turn deepening our vision of ourselves. The journey without is a journey within, and a journey with we is a journey with me.

Marija is a first generation American with an interesting story. She was born in Michigan, yet she still lived a very old-world lifestyle with her Macedonian parents. We have so many interesting conversations in this episode with topics ranging from Marija's father being a pigeon hoarder, being an artist, outer space and so much more. Make sure to check back next week when we talk about the most terrifying experience Marija has ever had in great depth in episode 20.

It can be easy to take for granted the knowledge we accumulate and use on a daily basis, not everyone understands the same things as you. Especially with spiritual information, it can be frustrating when you hear people casually throwing around terms or phrases like you should already know what they mean. The act of 'going within' is one of these things; in this episode we explore what it means to go within yourself and how to do it. When you are feeling down, depressed or just simply sad, that could be a sign that you are entering (or are already within,) a dark night of the soul. This is a period of time when deep and dark issues come up from inside of us that we must deal with, alchemize, and rid ourselves of that which holds us back. Darkness, sadness, negativity is all necessary if we are to truly stand in our light. As we know, you cannot stand in your light without making a shadow. We also briefly go over the steps of spiritual alchemy and talk about the role of The Dark Night within the process. So let this episode help guide you and provide a deeper understanding, tips, tricks or encouragement while going through one of the most difficult experiences we all must go through on our Journey.

From the quirky & seemingly harmless to the violent & dangerous, cults are an intriguing topic of conversation. We talk about what defines a cult and why it is important for us to understand this from an awakened perspective. Many of these cults are operating from a core of Truth that has been bastardized by the ego of the leader, often power hungry and narcisitic, but sometimes misguided and mentally unstable. We go over some details from our "favorite" cults and discuss interesting facts about them that we discovered in our research. Grab your koolaid and buckle up, we're getting culty!

Lucid dreaming, or being "awake" and conscious while inside of your dreams, is a phenomenon that is not only really cool but also has some intense spiritual implications. This topic is one of the first things that Sara & Chas ever talked about when it comes to the esoteric and conspirituality topics that are expolored in the podcast. We cover everything from describing what lucid dreaming actually is, to crazy dream stories, and the spiritual meanings, implications, and uses of dreams, both lucid and not! So do a reality check and get ready, this one is not a dream.

Gimmy Cipriano is an all around hilarious dude with an awakened perspective on the world. You may find his last name familiar, as he is the older brother of Andrew Cipriano and a friend of Sara's since high school. Gimmy is a stand up comedian who has also been interested in the weird and creepy since he was a kid. From ghost stories to reincarnation, Gimmy finds it all intriguing, but still finds himself with a perspective that can be skeptical and at times, overly logical. We discuss what all that might mean for Gimmy and his life, and so much more! Listen up and be ready to laugh, this is a super fun conversation between the three of us.
