Please join me in conversation with my psychologist colleague, Adriana Dominguez Martinez, about the cultural differences in how we are all coping with the COVID-19 crisis. Adriana and I met last year in Buenos Aires. In this episode, we discuss why Argentines seem more readily capable of accepting the conditions of quarantine and how this is potentially tied to a profound history of political instability which, ironically, may now be benefitting their overall mental health. We also discuss what Argentines can actually teach developed countries about resiliency and personal responsibility. We clearly have a lot to learn from our neighbors who are used to going through a crisis. I hope this thought provoking episode spurs you to pause on your social media venting and to think about how you can help your community and build your reservoir of personal resiliency.
