  • Justin & Alexis Black - Redefining Normal

In today’s episode, our guests are Justin Black and Alexis Black. Justin Black founded Rising Over Societal Expectations (ROSE) Empowerment Group to close the knowledge gap for today’s generation of Black and Brown young adults after his experiences as a Black male in the foster care system. Alexis Black is a foster care graduate. She created The Scholarship Specialist and wrote The Scholarship Roadmap book and workbook and an online tutorial to help students graduate from college debt-free. She is now a foster care volunteer and works as a database reviewer for the National Youth and Transition Database. Today, they will share with us what they have gone through in foster care.

[7:45] Why should we listen to you?

They should listen to us because everybody has a perspective of the ordinary. And everybody’s normal is entirely different.

[9:35] What were your experiences like growing in foster care?

How we laid out the book was we each wrote our alternating perspectives because even though we are together, we are very much individual people with dreams, goals, and pains. I grew up in an emotionally abusive and toxic environment until I met Justin. That’s how our story intertwines together the past that we once experienced when we met in college.

[21:00] What was the vision for the book?

We originally started the book as more of a selfish project of getting closer together before getting married because the divorce rate is exceptionally high. We’re an interracial couple, which makes it more difficult. It was more of a way of getting closer together and making sure that we have everything out there on the table and we’re completely vulnerable and open with each other. And that’s how we love each other through that process.

[25:39] Do you think your past makes it easier to step into certain situations?

Absolutely. I always tell people that our past in foster care prepared us to be entrepreneurs. Being a foster parent, you develop the skills of being resilient, flexible, and resourceful. And that’s just basic coping mechanisms and survival mode. Having faith in the vision and sees the end goal keeps me going. Of course, having my partner has always encouraged me.

[32:02] What promise did God make to the world when He created you?

God uses us as messengers, and he gives us promising talents and abilities to solve the problems that the world has created. He gives us his skills and abilities to go into the world and spread His words, His love, and His truth. If we continue to submit ourselves to God and be obedient, then we have the power to solve the issues in His world.

    Key Quotes

[22:10-22:13] “Sharing your story gives other people the courage to share theirs.”

[33:10-33:12] “You have the power to redefine what has been normal to you.”

  • Dr. Bill Dorfman - Billions of Reasons To Smile

In today’s episode, our guest is Dr. Bill Dorfman, Owner of the Century City Aesthetic Dentistry. He is a Celebrity Cosmetic Dentist, seen on Extreme Makeover & The Doctors, Author of New York Times Bestselling book Billion Dollar Smile, Co-Founder of LEAP Foundation. Bill is known in his profession as an energetic inventor and brilliant entrepreneur who has introduced award-winning inventions to the world of dentistry. Today, he will share with us how he became widely recognized worldwide as a leading dentist responsible for creating smiles for many of Hollywood’s brightest stars.

[7:21] Why should people listen to you?

Because I am 62, and I have done many things. I teach a non-profit motivational leadership program every year at UCLA called Leading Leap. It is a program for high school and college students ages 15 – 25 where we teach them the skills to succeed in life.

[11:10] What helps get past the stage?

I never fail. If I try something and it does not come out the way I wanted to, that is not a failure. It is Practice. Stop thinking you will fail. Do it again and again until you succeed. Never quit. What you need to do when you are not getting the results you want is finding a mentor and finding out what you are doing wrong to make it right.

[15:42] What is the secret to life, and what drives you?

I grew up poor. When we started making money, my company and I grew to discuss dentally. When you ask me what drives me, I am hungry for education, learn so you can earn, and then return.

[23:09] What do you hope people will say when it is all said and done?

I had a very impactful teacher when I was in high school. I am still friends with her. She is exactly 30 years older than me. And she always said, if you leave this earth without having made it better, shame on you, that’s my goal. When I leave my kids, my friends, I want to make sure that people who know me say he made a difference. And I think that is the most remarkable thing about being successful; it is sharing your success with others.

    Key Quotes

[11:47-11:55] “Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.”

[15:44-15:53] “Learn to earn, and then return. That’s what makes life complete.”

  • Jesse Mecham - You Need A Budget

In today’s episode, our guest is Jesse Mecham, CEO of You Need A Budget. He guides individuals as to how to spend and budget their money correctly. Growing up, Jesse had a situation where he needed to figure out how to earn money for his growing family and meet their needs. In doing so, he created a spreadsheet that could help people budget their money which led to the creation of his company, YNAB. Today, he will share with us his journey and how he helps people stop living paycheck to paycheck, get out of debt, and save more money.

[5:29] Why should we listen to you?

I have a hard time leading with what my work is. I am a father of 7 kids, and people usually ask me about them; people might ask where they came from, but if we talked about what gets me up in the morning, I run a little business to teach people how to think better about their money.

[7:53] How did you come up with this business?

It was born out of necessity. I just turned 22 when I got married, three years left to schooling. I planned to become a CPA, become a partner, and make a quarter-million dollars eventually. My wife works in a social work profession. I built this little spreadsheet for the two of us to watch what’s going on. My first child is coming, landing here is imminent, and wanting my wife to stay home to be a full-time mom, I do not want to borrow money for school. I worked part-time as an intern, and we were scraping until we want to do a pullback on her income. I thought I am short of making it through the next two years, so maybe I could sell the spreadsheet we are using. I talked to a friend who sold goods online and was told that I could sell them. That gave me the thumbs up to do it. I told my wife that I am giving it a shot and ran some ads on Google AdWords.

[12:38] “Maybe I should stop this” moment.

I was sitting on the desk, planning winter where accountants are busy, thinking how much I could take an hour for the next three months. I am making lots of money there, but it was to the tunes of 1000s. When you have a $500 rent, 1000s is much money, so I wondered if I should keep doing this? But I made a quick decision that I should keep going.

    [14:19] What keeps you going?

I had to learn everything about marketing, become a better writer, become a little better at interviews, but all on the way you are evolving. I asked myself, am I still learning? Am I still enjoying this? Or do I feel like I am still getting this renaissance man vibe from a thing, like where I kind of know a little bit of everything? And that keeps me going.

[21:07] Joyous parts in life you cannot experience without chasing it

It is finding where you got to be accurate, where you got to stay consistent. And then letting yourself experiment. That has been the best part about the business for me is not just experiment in the industry, but just with life, try my hand at various things and take my kids to places that will blow their minds.

    Key Quotes

[22:32-22:35] “Figure out what your places are or the things you want to hold on to.”

[27:51-27:55] “Teach and allow people to do things and give them room to make mistakes.”

  • Paul & Kelsey Tompkins - Flippin Experts

In this episode, we have Paul and Kelsey Tompkins, the founders of Flippin Experts Academy. This power couple believes that success comes from continuously learning, applying, and thriving. They have created the most comprehensive real estate investors course, Flippin It Right, with all of training, tools and knowledge needed to become a successful and profitable real estate expert. Today, they are going to share with us some tips if you are thinking to start flipping houses, the importance of shifting mindsets, their inspiring journey to real estate, and the training they offer on their website.

[07:18] Why should we listen to you?

I don't think anybody should or have to listen to us. I think the way we always look at it is, who do we look up to, who do we listen to, and that's who we want to become for other people.

[07:45] What we've tried to do is create a platform for people underneath of us, same level as us, maybe even their higher than us, but they can still learn from us. So I think we're all in the space to learn faster.

[13:37] How did you get into real estate?

A lot of it I had done before I met Kelsey. I’d already done real estate deals used hard money. I was familiar with that. I had some connections still in Jacksonville. And I ended up reaching out to one of my old business partners.

[14:07] Really amazing thing about real estate, you don't have to necessarily have your own money, because for a prime example of nothing, we didn't have a huge savings account, yet we were able to make it work through different lenders and partnerships.

    [14:41] Money and Mindset

Two people's biggest problems are money and their mindset. They don't know if they can do it. They won't go all in they don't have confidence in themselves. And the second one is more of an excuse. “You know what, I just don't have the money”

[15:37] A lot of people are just afraid to ask. Friends and family is a great way. We have a company called Flippin Experts Academy. That's exactly what we do. We teach people how to get over all those hurdles.

    15:06 Hard Money Lenders

These are money lenders that they want to lend money on properties.

17:25 Why do you want to share you secret of success to others?

We're not in the flipping houses to make $10 million. I know guys flipping 500 houses a year. Our biggest goal was flip houses. It's fast income. Every three months, you're turning over whatever it is half a million dollars, a million, it doesn't matter. But if I can turn that four times in a year, our goal was flip it four times, take some of that quick money and turn it into a rental portfolio

[18:08] I am the kind who flips then cash in my pocket. I take that and I go buy a property free and clear. Like the bank can never take it away. Knowing COVID can shut down, nobody pays me rent, it doesn't matter. I own it free and clear, like so that that was our plan. And then our company just kept growing.

[19:02] We’re sharing our secrets because we've learned for life, we're better together. If we go and flip four houses, that's awesome. But if we go and we partner with other people, and we flip 30 houses together, and we're not only helping our lives, but we're affecting their lives and your incomes, that's really what it's all about.

[22:36] How do some get started on real estate?

Just taking the first step. We literally give our courses away. Our whole membership for $1 for the first seven days, and we just want them to sit there. And they have seven days and then go through seven full trainings with us.

[23:36] What we try to do is we're trying to take away all those barriers. The barrier of fear and not knowing the fear of.

[29:12] What promise did God make to the world when He created you?

His promise for me was that I'd share the good news. And you can take that in all kinds of different directions. But we have seen so many miracles, and we've learned so much. And that's not something that we're meant to keep for ourselves. So it's something I wanted to share with the world. And I hope that that is the promise that he's made and something that I will keep up to.

[29:51]God would have promised the world that this power couple is going to come in and make people's lives better.

    Key Quotes:

[23:17-23:19] “You're never gonna know if it's right or wrong, unless you take it.”

[24:11-24:14] “The more you learn, the better off you are. But then also just knowing you don't have to go it alone.”

[30:38-30:42] “God will elevate you, and give you the things that you need. So you can bless other people.”

  • Nick Bradley - A Genuine Superhuman

In this episode of the Aww Shift Podcast, our host Anthony Trucks talks with Nick Bradley. He is a renowned entrepreneur, investor, author, speaker, and business growth expert. He is also the host of the Scale Up Your Business Podcast, which is #1 in the UK Podcast Charts. He has built, bought, and sold 22 businesses with a combined valuation of over $5 Billion. His mission is to help entrepreneurs and is committed to fostering entrepreneurship and building empires as a global force for good.

Why should we listen to you?

    6:20

I've gone through a journey that started when I was young. I've gone through various challenges, and I've transformed my life in different ways. And I think the main thing that I like to help people with is that anything you want to achieve is possible if you have the mindset to do it.

    6:57

I feel my mission in life is to help people achieve what they feel they can't at that point in time. If I look back on all the things that I've done that have given me the most fulfillment and enrichment, it's always been where I've helped someone find their identity and help them transform. That's my mission now, and that's what I'm doing through my podcasts and through everything else.

    The Food Problem

    7:44

When I was younger, I was having a whole heap of just uncertainty and instability at a young age. At that age, I sort of went to food and overeating, and as a 10-year old, I was weighing 75 kilos.

Becoming a better version of himself

    9:12

The person who brought me up was my grandfather. He was a really gritty guy, and I learned self-discipline from him. And from the age of 10 to 16, I lost all the weight and ended up competing in sports. And I found a version of myself through that transformation, which gave me a huge amount of self-belief. I thought that it was impossible to overcome what I was going through.

    10:11

I managed to pull myself through it. And I can't tell how much I felt at that stage after doing that because it set me the foundations for everything I did.

    Teaching himself

    10:42

My grandfather was there, but he wasn't necessarily guiding me with all the principles. I had to go and educate myself.

    10:53

I think a lot of the decisions that we make come from a period of pain. When you get to that level of despair, you're forced to take action in whatever way. And so I got some guidance. But to be frank, I taught myself and started educating myself. I started getting up early and exercising,  working out, and eating properly. Then I started to see the change.

How can you tell when somebody didn't play sports growing up?

    12:38

I can tell by their mindset. There are lots of different things you learn through sport. It's, it's the purity of it where there's winning, losing, teamwork, there are all the different things, but I can tell.

    Transitioning to the Corporate world

    13:37

I started this gym business in Adelaide in the early 90s. It was pretty successful, and I did that for three years. Then I just gave it up. I got stuck in my past programming, and I had many people around me questioning the choice that I've made to be entrepreneurial where everyone said that it was gonna fail and I need to get a job.

    15:08

I decided to just get out of Adelaide to change my environment.  Partly was the fear of entrepreneurship failing for me and my need to get somewhere else where I needed to be surrounded by different people. So I left, and I put myself into another environment. I then went into the world of corporate, and the world of corporate lasted for 15 years.

    15:55

I rose up the ranks super quick, where I ended up being the marketing director of a large company. I was the CEO of one of the divisions of the business before I was 35. But I was relentless. I would rip people apart to get promoted and get the next pay rise—anything I could do to progress and be seen as significant in all that sort of stuff.

    Decompressing through Running

    17:13

I was not the person I wanted to be where I wasn't showing up at home. Everything was starting to culminate, and I was doing these extreme 100-mile races.

    17:42

It wasn't about feeling amazing. It was full decompression. It was putting me through a level of pain. I needed to mask what I was going through internally with something else because I had all that I wanted, but I was just dying inside.

    The Moment where Everything Changed

    19:37

I started to get a lesson, and I started to see a window into myself.  I was a frustrated entrepreneur in my 15 years in the corporate space, and I was repressing that sort of nature.

    21:46

I just knew that I wasn't happy. I had this point where you have this question that just keeps popping into your head all the time. And the question was, Are you happy? I knew the answer, and I didn't know what to do.

    22:30

I went to a Tony Robbins event and got myself immersed in that. I just gave myself the time to be frank, and I made a decision that I was going to come back, and I was gonna change everything.

    22:54

I didn't quit my job straight away, but I made a decision to do that. I spent the next 12 months effectively building the foundation, and one of those foundational pieces is my amazing podcast.

    The Unexpected Angel

    23:46

When I look at them now and how they serve us, it's almost like, in a weird way, my father was an angel coming in to give me a message at a time when I desperately needed it. As soon as I heard the message, in the way that it was delivered, he left.

What is it that frustrates you?

    24:31

These days, I'm working with people who have businesses where they're stuck and overwhelmed. I'm seeing them at a place where they're not their best. What frustrates me is the idea that things happen and, and you have no power, to do things differently. We all got choices. They may not be the best choices, and they may not be the ones that we want to be, but we have them.

    Skillset vs. Mindset

    25:45

People ask me all the time in business about what's more important. Is it skillset or mindset? And I say it's 80% mindset. It's not that people don't know what to do. They just get consumed in their own psychology all the time.

    The Idea of Slowing Down

    26:25

People want to get to the end game. They want to set goals, but sometimes the whole idea of slowing down is to speed up. It's such a powerful thing to consider and to do. Once you start to do that, the opportunities become more visible because you're more focused and more present.

What making an impact is all about

    27:50

It's about making a difference to people and making a more significant contribution. If I had to draw a line under that corporate and private equity side, I was extremely self-centered, and everything was about me.

    28:10

The reason my podcast has been successful is that I bear everything in that. It's a business podcast about the person you need to become to create an outstanding business. But at the end of that, it's about the pathway to freedom.

What promise did God make to the world when He created you?

    29:40

That I can be an inspiration to people in the way that I choose to show up.

    30:00

What you're here to do is inspire people and believe that they can be more than they can.  And if I think about my mission and my purpose, and what I've certainly realized over the last few years, is I've made that final transition where I am now massively congruent with that. And everything I do every day is congruent with that.

    Finding your purpose

    30:44

You can chase your passion, climb the crazy mountains, fall in the hills, but you'll stumble in it at some point. I'll present itself if you've earned the right to see it.

    30:57

I had to get to the bottom to realize that there was something more. And I had to work to find bits of it. But it started to come together, and then when it did, it was super clear.

    Key Quotes

[6:41-6:45] "Anything that you want to achieve is possible if you have the mindset to do it."

[25:10-25:16] "We all got choices. They may not be the best choices, and they may not be the ones that we want to be, but we have them."

[26:05-26:09] "It's not what you know, but it's who you are with what you know."

  • Daniel Packard - You Are Enough

In today’s episode, our guest is Daniel Packard, a Coach, Trainer, Speaker, U.C. Berkeley Mechanical Engineer, former stand-up comedian, personal development disruptor, and Founder of Inner Fitness Academy. He loves people to know that you can easily and systematically build physical fitness and strong muscles. You can also build Inner Fitness and strong self-love.

[6:55] Why should I listen to you?

I think you should listen to me because there’s something that we all have, like dynamic patterns, some behavior, and a ton of personal development. You know about it, you understand it, and you have awareness.

[9:50] Symptom Management to Full Liberation

If you’re not addressing the root cause, that symptom will always follow you around your whole life. I’m going to step away from personal development because I think there was a blind spot. I’m trying to revisit it from the perspective of an engineer and come up with a solution.

[13:46] Different aspect of Symptom Management

When we understand the basic mechanics that control something, that changes much quicker, and most importantly, we keep the results longer. I can help people because I stepped away from personal development.

    [19:10] what’s the best path?

I think that sometimes personal development can be a little bit overly complicated and sound cool. It may not be getting you the quick, consistent results that you want because you’re losing basics. If you lose weight, you don’t look at your body, but you’re manifesting the cells from your unlimited potential.

    [21:37] Be better always

I spent ten years decoding everything anxiety, insecurity, codependency addiction and interpreted it to look for the basic, simple mechanics. I think part of it is that people don’t understand that when I help people, they are very successful when clients come to me.

[22:17] If you’re working on yourself, thank you for wanting to be a better person. I want to get you tools. And a process of you can be happier, faster, feel calm, get the relationships you want.

    Key Quotes

[10:24–10:29] “If you’re not addressing the root cause, that symptom is always going to follow you around your whole life.”

[12:13 - 12:25] “If you have a pattern that’s been repeating for a while, trust me, even if you don’t think it, that is a symptom of something deeper, and we are not.”

[22:59 - 23:08] “Many people learn a concept like don’t doubt yourself, believe in yourself, love yourself, whatever it is, and then they’re not able to implement it.”

  • Matt Rosenthal - Mindcore

    Matt Rosenthal – Mindcore

In this episode we have Matt Rosenthal with us who is a technology and business strategist which is huge for the world that we live in. He is the CEO of Mindcore an IT company that allows people to kind of take back control the technology, the things we're using every single day to streamline their business. He is with us today to share his grit through success, how he sees opportunities along the way, and his experiences in reaching what he has now.

[16:06] Why should we listen to you?

I've learned a lot of lessons in my life. And even though I am an IT and business strategist, we can talk business underneath all that, it all came from the mistakes that I have made in life. These mistakes are what makes the success that I have, I have learned from what I did and turn things around.

    [17:18] Aww Shift Bad Moments

I have been on a stage on my life where I did everything to make money, I did all the kinds of jobs and looking back I can say aww shift. I had to go around things in order for me to get by. The mistakes that I have made these times were the foundation on what I know and achieved today. Without all the ups and downs I would not have what I have now. I have the vision, I have the dream, I'm the process guy, the workflow guy, I see it and I can make this business happen.

    [22:56] Perspective of Opportunity

I look and interact with people differently. I've grown tremendously. It's actually pretty amazing how you change and see opportunities in a different way since you have learned so much in life. Having this growth affects how you would interact with people.

[26:48] Getting the Grit to your kids without them going through the same pain

They see my commitment. They are part of me in my osmosis, I can already see them having these characteristics of being committed to the things that they get into. They will never learn as much as I did because they have a small room of error and will not go through the hardships that I have.

[34:26] What’s God Promise to the World When He Created You?

I'd give back and impact other people's lives.

    Keynotes

[17:57-18:13] “Now I can look back and say wow, they taught me so much and I've had those moments almost from grateful for all the things that I've done in the past just to make money whereas now I'm in this whole other phase of my life and my career and I do get to look back and say aww shift”

[21:33-21:36] “The company that I have today is the company that I wanted that I always envisioned.”

[26:37-26:41] “I just finished up like a year ago, trying to make sure I'm like better and healthier than I've ever been.”

He will make us believe that there is always room for improvement and path to growth, there are always opportunities especially with our young generation. Joey is here today to share all what he has been through and all his realization on his way.

[3:32] Why Should We Listen to You?

I think the biggest reason why you should listen to me is because I'm an honest to goodness, homegrown micro budget entrepreneur, I'm a solopreneur I don't have the frills. I go step by step so I can be excellent with my craft and with this I’m creating results.

[5:03] What is it that you do?

What I'm known as is someone who helps people clarify and create the life that they want especially to young people. The hardest part is finding out how to understand other people. You need to dig deeper on the things that you need to ask in order for you to say the right words.

[6:46] What got you into this?

I grew up as a therapist, as a kid I was often the, the testing ground for my dad's therapy sessions, He helped me to understand that there are deep and important things to life that are beyond the surface level, success and money. I'm trying to figure out how I feel personally. God called me to do that and what I realized was that he had a lot bigger things in store for me than I thought I had in store for me.

[10:16] What is your method and how does it work?

I created this process; it was based a lot upon my experience. try not to teach anything I haven't already done or I wouldn't do myself and so what I discovered in this in this process of self-realization, and helping myself, is I can use my experiences in order to help others this year, there was this topic called identity belief. You need to start doing what you love and this could change the world around you.

[13:18] What do you do that stretches you?

I have launched a self-endeavor to improve how I enunciate, if we really want to help people, we need to make sure that what gets across is very clear. Making sure everyone understands clearly how we speak can add up to the impact on the message you are trying to convey.

[15:17] What is your clear vision and what are you trying to create?

I'm trying to build relationships with awesome people so that we can create even more change on a massive scale. Having to partner with such people expands what we can do and open opportunities to help other people.

[17:11] What do you want to leave your legacy to be?

My mission statement is starts with a proliferation of personal development. I want to be that person where you look back, that guy was incredible with his business and his productivity. Every lesson I had, I wanted to leave a mark where people would learn from me.

    [19:45] Your Aww Shift Moment

I think the biggest moment was earlier this year when I saw myself from feeling like a failure to a struggling hero. I want to be the person helping others to go from failure to struggling hero.

    [21:30] First step to fulfillment

First step they got to do is do some serious reflection. I think that the act of journaling about your pain is one of the most powerful acts that anyone can do.

[24:24] What promise did God make to the world when He created you?

I think the promise that God made is this is going to be a guy who loves empirically that there will be evidence and there will be verifiable data to back up that that was one of his core values is to love empirically love with evidence.

    Keynotes:

[9:22 – 9:30] “I need to change around these areas of my life that are that I'm a weakness in that are causing me to struggle, so that I can actually go ahead and help people with that.”

[20:49- 20:56] “I want to be that person to help others go from failure to struggling hero mindset, which helps them move forward in their life.”

  • Craig Ballentyne - Perfect Week Formula

In this episode, our guest is Craig Ballantyne. He has something called “Turbulence Training.” He’s got a good flow, a good brain, and he’s been through a gamut of serving people, literally hundreds of 1000s of people. He served clients from every walk of life.

[7:01] Why should I listen to you?

I am the most straight to the point you will ever meet. When I ran Turbulence Training, I also ran this other business called “Early to Rise” which I focus on these days. I started as the world’s most productive man. And then a couple of guys said, “To be productive, you have to be disciplined.” So they started calling me the world’s most disciplined man.

[8:46] When I was younger, I was a binge drinker and weekend frat-boy kind of guy. I got to the point where I don’t want to be like that anymore. But it’s very difficult to make the right decisions. So I went down this path of figuring out how to make the right decisions automatically, which made me look like the world’s most disciplined man.

[10:16] How does the flow structure work?

When people get into my coaching program, or they just have a conversation with me, I say, “You have to get in the morning and focus on non-urgent, important work.” I have this little rhyme where I say you got GSD on your MIT ASAP. Get stuff done on your most important task as soon as possible.

[16:37] Talking about the identity aspect, I’ve written that down to those people who are not taking action, and they have self-esteem. You just have to change that identity. I’m the type of person who takes imperfect action because I know that that’s the thing that moves me ahead.

    {23:55] A whole new space

If someone is new to me and has never heard me and seems like, “Oh, Craig has three books,” and they were going to be which one first, it’s this. It’s the perfect week formula. You learn how to automate, delegate and eliminate add, automate, delegate, and eliminate better because what most entrepreneurs do is say I will do it myself.

[31:14] Getting things out of your way

Just challenge yourself and think I want you to do 15 minutes of work before getting on the bike. If you make 15 minutes first thing in the morning, just get up at the right time for you and then get up a little bit earlier before anybody else gets up. And then go right to work for 15 minutes.

[32:45] It’s the same thing with taking advantage of an opportunity. Maybe you have a business opportunity, and maybe you have a course that you’re selling, and like your Facebook ads are starting to work. If you get up and spend 15 minutes focused on that, you will get further ahead than somebody who tries to find time in your busy day to do it.

     Key Quotes

[13:44-14:00] “If you want to have a business, a business needs to be something that you can step away from for three months, six months, 12 months. If you depend on clubhouse for all of your revenue, and it’s your main thing, you can’t step away from it.”

[20:00-20:06] “Take imperfect action because it beats in perfect action, beats perfect inaction every single day.”
