In today’s episode, we have David Nurse who is an NBA life and optimization coach, future bestselling author. He’s here today to talk about pivoting and go in life, share his experiences, and help us go through our doubts within us.
[7:55] Why should anybody listen to you?
I come from a state of authenticity. I have hard work and that is what gets me to every step of the way.
[9:03] One moment you can unpack and what you did.
Every once moment is how I can play in the NBA, I get cut from the team and I was at my lowest. The thing that shifted it is my mom’s quote “when one door closes, 4 opens and entire beach patios overlooking the ocean”.
[12:46] It’s figuring out what is juicing you up in the morning.
[13:39] How do you do it?
You need to know what you are going to do; you need to be prepared on what you will overcome.
You control your mind. Do not let your mind control you.
[16:07] Amazing moment
When I got called in for the Brooklyn Nets, I got called in to talk to the owner of the team. I did not know everyone close enough but I got to talk to the owner of the team. Instead of looking at that time, I think to bring this knowledge back to the team.
[19:38] How is everything amidst the situation?
Everybody is feeling stock and how we are going to pivot in the new normal, I could look into the situation as an opportunity.
[21:22] Where do you see yourself 4 years from now?
Being a motivational speaker, author, and intact with NBA’s greatest players.
[24:41] What promise did God make to the world when he made you?
You can find your joy in your daily grind, it is just knowing what you can do and you will see this through David.
Keynotes
[11:45-11:57] “Have your mission align your purpose.”
[ 10:30-10:45] “When one door closes, 4 opens and entire beach patios overlooking the ocean.”

In today's episode, our guest is Kellen Clemens. He is the Head of Elateus Sports and Development. He joins Elateus following a 12-year career in the NFL and bringing his energy and passion for team building and organizational efficiency. He has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Oregon and a rich leadership background across a multitude of diverse groups and teams. Kellen has a strong work ethic, a high standard of excellence, and an enduring desire to know and serve his teammates. Today, he is excited to use those same behavioral preferences for drive and analysis to help clients recruit, build and develop successful teams both in the corporate and athletic realms.
[10:27] Why should I listen to you?
Because I'm genuinely interested in you, if I'm talking and we're visiting, I'm genuinely interested in getting to know you. That would probably be the best answer I can give you. If I'm going to sit and we end up at tables next to each other at a coffee shop, and we're going to strike up a conversation, I'm genuinely interested in your answers.
[11:50] Kellen's Journey
I grew up on a cattle ranch in Eastern Oregon. We worked, and we played sports. I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship and go to the University of Oregon. My highlight for five years was to play and being there.
[12:34]
I broke my leg in senior year, and then it kind of throws everything up into just chaos because I wasn't sure if I was going to be ready for the draft, but I got fortunate, and I was healthy enough to get drafted and went to the Jets.
[13:09]
I got cut twice in 2011. It was the first time in my life that somebody says, "you're not good enough to be on our team." That staggered me a little bit and got lucky, and the ball bounced my way, and I ended up in St. Louis. I got to play there pretty well and then signed as a free agent in San Diego.
[14:58] What are some experiences that have strengthened you through the adversity?
The eye-opening bit for me that happened is I think it happens for a lot of us is when we first get to that stage. That's the expectation has a kind of the romantic side of it. But I think what slapped me in the face early was the business side of it.
[15:43]
We're the young guys that are trying to replace the old guys. But eventually, when you play long enough, you become the old guy. Every new crop of young guys is coming there because they're cheaper, healthier, younger, and they're there to replace you. That part was the most shocking for me.
The Truth about the NFL
[17:06]
I played for five different organizations. There are some teams where they've created a culture that isn't quite like that. But some perpetuate that, and they pit guys against one another. It's a demanding and challenging environment. It's not all the glitz and glamour.
[17:42]
There's an aspect of mental toughness that comes from being in that situation. If you want to survive that, you got to classify certain things.
[17:57]
Every coach coaches differently. You sometimes hear what they say and not how they say it. Unfortunately, in those relationships, you got to compartmentalize those relationships because we're all pulling in the same direction. When you show up to camp with 90 of you, 37 are going home in just a few weeks—that's the harsh reality.
[18:22]
Even when I transitioned into the real world and become an entrepreneur, there are still mentally-tough challenges.
Working with Elateus
[18:55]
I got a partnership opportunity with this company called the Elateus, based on the east coast. We have brain mapping, which is the most comprehensive and excellent behavioral assessment tool globally. We're utilizing that in North America to help companies recruit, build, and develop high-performing teams.
[19:42]
We're about to launch the latest sports, which now has entire other aspects of team building and understanding players and athletes, particularly at the college level and helping not only the coaches get to know the athletes faster, how to engage teachers, motivating them based on their behavioral preferences, how to treat them, but also helping them prepare for life after sport
[20:20]
It helps them understand their behavioral preferences and profile and prepare more accurately for a life of fulfillment after college after their career. That's the additional output that we're able to do. I think it's going to make a significantly positive impact on the lives of athletes.
[21:00] What makes you different from others?
The most significant difference for us is what we're doing. We measure the degree to which you prefer to use eight different models and behaviors. We can use that and match it against different roles and job roles as companies are hiring and even succession planning. The cool part is using it as a recruiting tool because it's completely diversity neutral. It takes all the human bias out of the hiring and retention process. You get the best and most qualified people who will be genuinely fulfilled, engage, and deliver the highest degree of output.
[23:04]
Some of the team programs and team-building exercises we do are significantly impactful for people working remotely. It doesn't do me any good to communicate, inspire, or motivate you the way that I want to be motivated because I got to reach you where you are. Sometimes you get the wrong person. It's not that you can't, but if you get the wrong person in the right seat, you're not firing on all cylinders, and when you have two or three of those missing cogs in a wheel, it can be deflating
[24:30] What are the ones that stand out the most to you?
The brain is very much relationships, empathy, creativity, different types of stuff that don't have a lot. The left side is your logic, reasoning, drive for success, independence, and all that stuff. I'm very much over on that left side which has been good for me. In both my business and my relationships, it's about understanding that other people need empathy. People need to be allowed to be creative.
[25:23]
I have to understand that there's value in that amongst my team and understanding when that person gets going, let that person go because there's value there and understanding it's not natural for me, but understanding that person.
[26:41] Breaking Stereotypes
Be treated how you want to be. They go against that stereotype, and we're breaking that down.
[29:48] Goals for 2021
What we have never been able to do is put down roots, invest in the community, and try to develop some of those long-term solid relationships. We are finding that community that we want to invest in and go from there.
[31:51] What promise did God make to the world when He created you?
I hope that it would be something to the extent of he's going to pay it forward of what he's given and that he will pay forward. We got to pay it back to him. Pay it back to him by paying it forward to others. That would hopefully be that promise.
Key Quotes
[10:59 – 11:02] "The curious minds are ones that learn things and apply things later."
[18:42 – 18:47] "You have to be able to battle through some of that adversity. Every player goes through it. It's unique to every player."
[28:31 – 28:37] "You find something that you love to do that people love you do. That's a sweet spot."

In this episode, we have Suzanne Nance to enlighten us today with her experience going all over the world! Being the first woman in the US to get the explorer’s grand slam, sharing her experiences that lead to success, her hardships to help us find our path into success.
[3:19] Why should we listen to you?
I’ve had experiences that have shaped my attitude and reaction to life. We apply those to our journey in life. I have things to share that people can put on their toolbox and use when they need it.
[4:08] Explorer’s Grand Slam
I made the summit of all the tallest summits of all continents, touching the north pole and south pole.
[6:23] Aww Shift Bad Moment
When I was walking down Everest, I asked myself what do I do next. When I came down, I wanted other people to reach their own Everest. I was on Antarctica, the final push on the high camp, the weather came in a vengeance. We went down to heat up. I was shivering and woke up screaming because I frostbit my nose. I realized then this is my empowerment factor. There is no one coming in to rescue you. We have to muster up our will and mindset. This was life-changing.
[11:53] Biggest Lessons you’ve learned
I help people do what they think is impossible. With the experience that I have, I set their mindset to think everything is possible.
[14:46] Lead from the Top
I had to evaluate what I was doing climbing these peaks. I wrote a short story and share it with my friends. I wrote a book using my stories and incorporated it with corporate America. I had to work with several leaders to make sure that they know that they could lead.
[18:56] Biggest Shift
The idea of working with clients if I get successful, they get successful. Walking away from your success and incorporating it with success with others is what I want to do.
[22:24] What do you see in 3-4 years?
In the next 2 years, I am publishing books and continue public speaking.
[24:25] What’s God promised to the world when he made you?
Helpfulness, I’m always that person my whole life. We need to help people even though they are not good.

Brad is dropping bombs on a wide range of topics that educate, inspire and deliver results that you can leverage to overcome any.
[14:43] Have you heard of Dropping Bombs?
I've not listened to a complete one but I've kind of a couple like snippets and listen to it before life took over.
[15:17] How did you hear about Dropping Bombs?
A year and a half ago, I was talking to somebody about possibly using your company. Somebody else I worked with called High Tide, a startup kind of company. And at that time, the conversation came about and I don't know how it circled back around this time.
[15:50] Tell us about LightSpeed
LightSpeed is not just selling a course online. It's an actual technology.
[16:21] Light Speed is more of a system than a course. On top of that, you leverage the interactivity to get better engagement, collect data and make offers so that the content itself generates money. You're generating money for the course, and our model, the course, generates money also. We have all the services like marketing and retargeting etc.
Key Quotes:
[18:09-18:29] “You're going to have the ability to use interactivity, which is the key. And on top of it, you're looking to make an impact. While training is the good content repetition, practice, and accountability, there has to be some accountability, there has to be some practice.”

[2:52] Why should anybody listen to you?
It’s because I have done it. And it was not easy. If I can do it anybody with the right mindset can do it.
[3:38] Why is it your choice to give back to the word?
It feels like a void when there is no fulfillment. I was struggling and I think I don’t have what it takes to help others. I feel so much gratitude and pressure to help others.
[5:36] Time is the most important resource that we have. My mission is to help an entrepreneur to be so productive.
[6:36] How do you get to people?
Authenticity. I just share my story. I tell them my story and all my experiences in building my business.
[10:34] What is the Process?
I have a process called APP system. It is an app that you download to your mind which stands for Attitude, Productivity, and People. You need to set your attitude to see time is scarce. Next is productivity, which I have a process called SPF which is Scheduling, Prioritize Impact, and Focus to finish.
[27:35] What did God promise to the world when he made you?
That I will help other people to live a more productive life and say yes to others, help others.

Today we have Eli Weinstein who is a therapist and the innovator of Elivation.
Listen as he helps us get our stress out during this time and figure out how we can manage all the crazy things that are happening around us.
[3:30] Why should anybody listen to you?
When you have people, who care about other people, and selfless love is what I can offer on the table.
[4:30] How did you get into this?
At a young age, I love people and speaking, I went through a lot. As a kid, I went through mental health issues. I’ve been searching for something on that platform and became a therapist.
[6:50] How did you end finding yourself in that position
We were just enjoying ourselves, and I assess to understand who I really am, and what I wanted to do. I wanted to be the light and love in the darkness.
[8:38] First Therapy session
I was so nervous because I was told to do 5-minute groups, but gladly no one showed up. I felt so much pressure, thrown at the fire to perform and to be something they expected me to be. And in reality, they just wanted human connection.
[13:00] How do you get strategies during this rough time?
Taking time for yourself outside of the stress and apply little moments to enjoy the time that you have.
[17:13] What people can perform now to help bring the stress level down?
The idea of prayer is disconnecting from yourself and taking yourself into a higher being. The same idea disconnects from yourself, take away from your mind all the stress on this 5-minute routine.
[19:35] Elivation
It is a brand of what I do, rebranded it because the word therapy scares people. Creating mental health skills, confidence and making them accessible to the laymen human beings that we are.
[22:04] What opportunity after COVID-19 do you see?
The idea of human connection will be important. Amidst what happened, we will realize that we took for granted the small things that we can do before COVID-19.
[23:00] What promise did God make to the world when he made you?
More joy and love to the world.

In today’s episode, we have Joel Matthew from Beyond Academics to change how we see the education system as we know. Join us and learn more about their company Beyond Academics.
[6:00] Why should anybody pay attention to you?
The system is broken, we made a way to change the basic education. What we are doing is set a new landscape on what people are doing.
[8:25] Do kids need to go to college?
Now things are different, kids change the way they want to be from what kids way back want to be. Some dreams do not require formal education.
[11:55] What do you see education going towards?
During the pandemic, schools and universities had to go digital which made them more like a zoom university. Universities are not going to survive if they are not going to adapt to technology.
[13:50] What about educators?
Educators need to adapt on how the technology goes. Comfortability is one of the reasons why educators fail to innovate on how things go.
[16:47] Beyond Academics
It revolves to 4 areas; one is consultancy, second aspect is Leadership, having people engaged third aspect is building up an authentic community and the fourth thing is incubator, looking to the project into entrepreneurial.
[22:59] Where do you hope the company would become like?
We hope to change the universities think. We can help universities think more “entrepreneur-ly”
[25:10] What was God’s promise to the world when he made you?
To change the world, God made me to change the world.

In today’s episode, our guest is Ken Joslin, Owner of the Ken Joslin Group, 10X coach, Grant Cardone Licensee, and a real estate professional. He is a driven leader who has sold hundreds of millions in real estate and mortgages. In 2019, Ken finished in the top half of 1% out of 3,725 Realtors. He is a former pastor that has planted multiple churches and mentored hundreds. He is passionate about businesses and changing lives. More than that, Ken is a generous husband, father, and friend. Today, he is going to share with us about his Gross Stack Drive program.
[7:25] Why should we listen to you?
I’m passionate about helping people win. I love helping people, understand the value of being significant in other people’s lives.
[8:07] I get to love all people and add value to and encourage people.
[11:10] Gross Stack Drive
We have three legs of Gross Stack Drive. We help people crush limiting beliefs, create winning strategies, and champion a culture of leadership. Those are the three things that help people not only to be successful but significant in life and business.
[11:26] Crush Limiting Beliefs
A limiting belief is something that prohibits you from seeing the potential of your future. It’s about robbing someone of their hope or eroding someone of their excitement for their future. We can’t see hope and potential in our future because we deal with limiting beliefs.
[12:10] We deal with 6 limiting beliefs - fear, insecurity, scarcity, shame, comparison, and success. We teach people to identify, remove and replace.
[12:50] A lot of times we don’t get into action or we don’t get into motion because we’re fearful. We don’t want to fail. There’s fear, there’s insecurity. Do I have what it takes? So we teach people throughout our coaching program.
[14:42] What’s the next step?
We want those limiting beliefs to be identified, removed, and replaced. The way to replace them is affirmations. What am I saying and speaking to myself?
[16:14] A new affirmation came for me. I will live a life where my heart and my head are in alignment. Why is that important? The heart is where I dream. The heart is where I vision. It’s where I paint the picture of what I want my future and my reality will look like.
[16:50] My head is where my belief system is. My belief system is what determines my actions, not my heart. People have so many limiting beliefs. They don’t realize that they’re there, they, in turn, can’t move forward.
[17:17] Creating Winning Strategies
We have 5 core values – passion, focus, intentionality, tangibility, flexibility.
[17:34] We use those five core values to help people create winning strategies personally, professionally, and financially.
[17:57] How do people struggle at the far end when making strategies?
[18:29] That strategy is coming out of your heat. If you don’t have that mindset correct, and you don’t have your belief systems wind up with those strategies, that belief system is what determines your actions. Your actions do not come from your strategies your actions don't come from whatever you're dreaming. They come from how your belief system and your brain is wired in what you believe.
[19:31] Importance of Relationships
If you get that relationship component right, it will help your mindset because you’re around people who would challenge you. Community gives us encouragement, and it brings you accountability. In a healthy thriving community, accountability feels like encouragement.
[22:49] How do you tell people to keep score of life?
There’s a couple of ways. We talk about personal, professional, and financial goals.
[23:57] We bring that balance and we make sure that we bring appointments with the ones we need to make appointments with.
[27:26] What promise did God make to the world when He created you?
That He would create a man who is passionate for His creation to identify purpose and potential in people, being able to call that out that they see and understand that there’s more in them than they actually realize what’s in them.
Key Quotes
[10:05-10:08] “If you add value for people, you’ll make more money.”
[20:08-20:13] “In a healthy thriving community, accountability feels like encouragement.”
[23:59-24:02] “..we make sure that we bring appointments with the ones we need to make appointments with.”

In this episode we have Jayson Waller with us to inspire us with his story from the bottom to the top. Let’s listen as he enlightens us with his experiences and how we can apply it to our lives.
[10:26] Why should we listen to you?
Because I’m real. I was not silver spoon fed, I earned everything that I got. I got from the bottom and worked hard on what I have now. The reason people would listen to me because they would hear real feedback.
[12:19] What allowed you to beat the odds?
What motivated me are my experiences from discrimination and wanted more in life and self-motivated to. When I see my parents’ struggle, I got motivated to succeed in life.
[19:45] My experience gave me the credibility to propel what I was going to do in life.
[22:33] Success is not measured through money. Success is about contentment. If you are happy you are successful.

In today’s episode, our guest is Bobby Albert, CEO of the Values-Driven Leadership LLC. He has been in the business for a long time. This person is passionate about helping other leaders build inspiring workplace cultures through values-driven leadership and has been a CEO of an organization that was able to increase revenue 500% between 2005 and 2011 in a publicly traded company that he sold. He is the author of three books, Principled Profits, True North Business, and the most recent one called Freedom Paradox. And today, he is going to share with us how he was able to make this big businesses take place.
[4:49] Why should anybody listen to you?
I come beside Christian Business Leaders and I help them learn how to have clarity on what their organization stands for. I help them learn how to have an influence with their people. And I come beside them to learn how to build a culture where people thrive and profit.
[5:36] Where did you get the skills you work with? How did you figure it out?
It took me a long time to figure it out. I had a defining moment in 1987 when I began to see my work as a ministry and not a job. And when I did it, it just took on a life on its own. It developed into a culture which we call workdays worship ministry and it started out internally with our employees in the workplace, and then eventually expanded in to how we can minister to customers and even suppliers on an external basis.
[7:07] Core Values
For many years, our employees clearly knew. They often hear me talking about our purpose, our vision. And instead of a mission statement, I chose to use the term super objectives.
[7:26] For years, I’ve kept thinking that something was missing and in 2005, I figured it out and it was our core values. Nobody ever taught me anything about core values, or how to even discover your core values. I had to come up with questions. And I had to dig really deep inside of me to figure out. I kept asking myself questions and one day said to myself that I think I’m ready to discover who I am. I made a list of words that describe my passion for the things that gets me fired up. I circled 6 words that I written and decided that this is who I am. And that was the start of us, for me to put some words to those six core values, and then we shut down the company for a whole half a day to introduce those core values to our company. I wanted our people to go through some kind of discovery process like I did.
[14:19] What are the stages or steps somebody can go through to start infusing core values into their business?
One of my books, the True North Business has downloadable documents on how to discover your core values. It goes through the questions that help you discover, your core values, organization purpose, organization vision, organization super objectives, and if you’re trying to discover your mission statement.
[15:05] Family
My wife and I were very fortunate. We have three boys. They're all married. Our daughters-in-law, we loved them so much. They're like daughters to us. And we have eight grandkids, and we got one coming up. Our boys manage their money well, they all have excellent jobs, and they are active in their church. I’m a proud father and I'm so proud my sons marrying such wonderful girls.
[16:20] My life purpose is to be a model Christian businessman. My vision is to integrate the Lordship of Jesus Christ into every area of my life, and I want to encourage other people to do that, as well. I spent over 30 years teaching 12th grade boys at our church. I learned a lot about other boys and about their families and things. I think a lot had to do at home is teaching our boys starting when they were in elementary school about how to manage money, we would read our bible together. We are one of those families that we were very active in our church. I think it also comes from a strong marriage because Jesus Christ was the center of my life and my marriage.
[18:45] Leadership Principle
A lot of it is just setting the example. And that's the same kind of leadership principle. I had to lead myself before I could lead my family. And I had to lead myself before I can lead our employees. One of the principles I teach in the True North Business book is called “On and In” and it's helping business leaders to work on the business while they're working in the business. And there are three pillars to that which is first you need to grow you, then you can grow, then grow your people. And finally, you can grow your business
[22:18] Faith and Company
One of my core values is strive for excellence. And to me, it’s not a summertime thing, it's an all-time thing. What I would tell our employees over and over and over, that when they came to work every day, they came to work for the Lord Jesus Christ, and not Bobby Albert.
[23:18] The traditional organizations chart tells everybody in the organization, they're there to serve the leader at the top. We still have that, because people need to understand roles and responsibilities. But we would also show an upside down organization chart with me at the bottom, where it was my responsibility to equip and serve the leaders to develop them. They had a responsibility to just keep going up. And at the top of the organization chart, were frontline people. And then the customer was at the top. One thing I wish I did, I didn't think about it at the time is that I should have had Jesus Christ at the top.
What promise did God make to the world when He created you?
[27:26]
My life purpose which is to become a model Christian Businessman.
