The Chamberlain case is the stuff of legend. A baby goes missing from a campsite at the base of Uluru, then known as Ayers Rock, on a family holiday, the mother claiming the infant was taken by a wild dingo. But it took 32 years, numerous inquests, a trial, a conviction and a royal commission before Lindy Chamberlain was cleared of murdering her baby daughter.
