This podcast I taste two beers, the first is the Jai Alai IPA from Cigar City Brewing. It’s 7.5% ABV. They are a brewery out of Florida. It is based off the tobacco trade roots in the geographical area.

They also have some stellar beers that I have yet to try. This brewery is a must see if you are ever in the Tampa area. I know if I ever am out there, I will map this place out in a heart beat.

I also drink the Relax Hazy IPA from Offshoot Beer Co.

They are an “offshoot” from the Bruery brand. The Bruery typically has beer in larger bottles (think wine bottle size) with mostly aged or very unique beers. This brewery will can hoppy beers to distribute and serve.

In this episode, I taste the Black Boss Porter from Browar Witnica, a brewery from Poland. I wasn’t expecting to do a 9.4% beer on the show, man…the things I do for the podcast!

I also share my bass guitar writing process for a new song concept my band (The Mean Muggers) are working on. We have TONS of songs in the works, but I will take the initial recording (from my IPHONE!) and develop the bass line in this episode.

Finally, I talk about the concept of REPETITION. This concept yields awesome results. It falls into the same category as routine, persistence and perseverance.

In this episode, I taste the Chimay Cinq Cents abbey / trappist ale. Trappist beers can only be made under certain rules.

Yes there are “trappist inspired” beers, but only a handful of brewers (mostly from Belgium) are true authentic and legal trappist brewing monks.

I also discuss the Red Hot Chili Peppers band. I talk about how they have influenced my writing and how they relate to my band and I.

Finally, I talk about the subconscious mind. The information I present is repetitive and not fully organized, but I hope you can have at least one takeaway from it.

In this ep, I drink / taste a very strong beer. It is Russian River’s Shadow of a Doubt Imperial Porter. I also give an update on my wild ride on submitting my Brett/Sour IPA + NE IPA to the National Homebrewing Competition.

Next I discuss my band a little bit. Yeah, I talk about my band a lot, but this is called “self shameless-shameless promoting.”

Finally, I discuss leg day. I just did leg day and my body is aching. That is because I am progressing. That is another key concept I delve into, PROGRESS.

I thank Tony Robbins for reminding me about the importance of PROGRESS. Funny enough, my fraternity Alma Mater discusses the significance of PROGRESS; things are coming back in full circle.

I will admit, I wanted to stay in and watch AQUAMAN or play video games, but I decided to put this podcast out instead. Boo ya!

Today I talk about the band 21 Pilots, who revitalized some inspiration in the music scene for me personally. A combination of awesome live show antics along with catchy synthy beats and deep lyrics, this band has a lot of potential to be one of the all time greats.

Also, I drink a couple of beers on the show, the first is my New England / North East style India Pale Ale (NEIPA) that I just finished. I will submit it into the National Homebrewing Competition, along with my brett sour IPA (which I haven’t tasted yet).

I also taste Modern Times’ Orderville Hazy/Mosaic hopped IPA.

I will also talk about my first entry to the National Homebrewing Competition, and what it means to me.

In this ep, I taste the famous Pliny the Elder from Russian River Brewing Company out of Santa Rosa and Windsor, Ca.

I also talk about AUDIOSLAVE, one of my favorite bands from the early 2000’s.

Finally, I try to explain why age viewed differently from younger people to older people. More importantly, I touch on how to make goals or view things from a winning standpoint by planning for the future. Sometimes we come at crossroads and have to decide what is the best course of action to take.

Duvel Belgian Golden Ale is a fantastic strong beer, rolling in at a hefty 8.5% ABV. I can’t wait to get out there to the Netherlands region and check out this brewery (along with a slew of other ones). They are now a huge company with good beer; they have their stuff together.

I taste this beer in this episode.

I also talk about the band Velvet Revolver. They are a super rock group consisting of the former Stone Temple Pilots front man Scott Weiland. The backing band is the former Guns n Roses posse.

They formed in the early 2000’s and produced two albums; both of which I love. If you are looking for a hard rocking, up front nasty sound with a touch of down to earthiness, check them out.

Finally, I talk about the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. This book is more than just a book, it is a guide that is meant to be digested, ingested and processed over time. The more I study it, the more I embed the contents into my brain and body.

I definitely recommend you read this book and give it a try, or re-read it if you read it before.

In today’s podcast (the download / stream is below), I talk about Paulo Coelho. I will be real with you, it has been a while since I read any of his work. I read the Alchemist and the Valkyries a couple of years back and did some quick research on him and the books just to remember some of the material.

All I remember is they were good books. I looked on my shelf to talk about someone cool and landed on Coelho.I also picked up a sixer of Heretic’s “Make America Juicy Again” New England style hazy india pale ale (NE IPA). I’ve been to the brewery a couple of times and enjoy their products. I haven’t tried this one yet, so I taste it live here.

Finally, I talk about making music at home. There are many different ways about doing this, but I go over my own process of making beats and music on my own time.

I currently use logic pro X on my mac with a MIDI keyboard and sometimes plug in my bass guitar when I feel the need.

I do this stuff for free, for now. I was thinking of charging like $1 a month to get some revenue, but as of now I make money on ads from google as well as some product referrals.
