We have watched plenty of movies that were, at some point in time, stuck in developmental hell before they finally released, but no other film we have ever watched was the first movie to attempt to be released in theaters during a pandemic. Not only was this movie released in theaters, but it was at the time when majority of movies theaters in the country were shut down. So this movie was almost exclusive to drive-in's, where they were available. Needless to say, some people still went to see it because why not it's the last FOX X-Men universe movie. Well those people probably wish they stayed home or caught a drive-in showing of Little Mermaid instead. This week we discuss The New Mutants.
No matter how you felt about the 2003 Daredevil film starring Ben Affleck, we can all agree that the last thing we wanted from it was a spinoff movie of Jennifer Garner's portrayal of Elektra. Unlike the Daredevil film, this spin off movie is full of characters made up for the movie itself and a plot that is so boring and generic that it could have just been called Assassin Girl starring Jennifer Garner as any other character and been the same exact movie. Anyways, this week we watched the director's cut, thats right director's cut, of the 2005 film Elektra. Let's get into it.
The entire journey of man has lead us here, and all we can do is ask why. Why are there food supremacists in a children's movie where tiger blood runs through a dog detective's veins? Why are beloved corporate mascots betrayed by their capitalist masters and forced to participate in this literal hell? Why is podcast "favorite" character Munchie back as a wildly inappropriate vampire alluding to his cravings for a chocolate squirrel? We don't have all the answers, but one thing is for certain; this is episode 350 and everything is out of control. Foodfight is here and we were never prepared.
Barry Gabrewski struggling to deal with school, bullies, his asthma, and his dad who only cares about his attractive teacher. His only source of enjoyment is fantasizing that he hangs out with Chuck Norris in some of the most absurd day dreams (aka hallucinations) of all time. This week we discuss the real Chuck Norris playing Chuck Norris in the martial arts classic known as Sidekicks.
Little Nemo is a wild journey where one boy lives his best life once his head hits the pillow. Goblins, kings, princesses and flying beds; listen to us dive in to this crazy dreamworld in Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland.
The origins of evil lie where they always do. Greed. Pride. Ambition. Desperation. Let's take a trip to 1666, when one deal with the morningstar dooms an entire town for the next 300+ years. What would it take for you to commune with the dark lord? Dwell on that as we discuss Netflix's final installment of the Fear Street trilogy; Fear Street Part 3: 1666.
Murder consumes Camp Nightwing, when a legacy of evil reminds everyone that Shadyside is a town where all must despair. The history of this town is a tragic one and after seeing the hell that crashed down in 1994, we travel further back in Fear Street Part 2: 1978 for a bloodbath you could drown in.
Based off R.L. Stine's Fear Street books, Netflix's Fear Street: Part 1: 1994 takes us down the winding rabit hole that is the cursed town of Shadyside. Why is everything bad there? Why do people keep going crazy? Why do people keep getting killed? Is it something in the water? The soil? Is the town haunted by something? Someone? Witch is it? Hunker down as we take a nostalgic trip to 1994.
