Today is Decemeber 14, and behind door number 14, is the Mortlach 10 year old Scotch, Old Particular by Douglas Laing.  This whisky forms a backbone of many of the Johnny Walker products, so its finally chance to taste this as single malt.

Day 12 of the Whiskey Advent Calendar brings us a dram from the only distillery on the Isle of Skye.  Located on the northwest coast of Scotland, Talsiker brings an interesting flavor to whisky not shared by any other distiller.  Have a dram, pull on that fisherman's sweater, because this one will make you feel like you're at sea.

Day 8 and we're heading back to Islay for another whisky, except this time, there's no peat.  Bunnahabhain, once closed, now enjoys a vibrant life with one of the only unpeated single malt whiskeys on the island.

Day 7 brings us a real treat from an unknown distillery in Speyside, Glenlossie.  This single cask was port finished, so Brandt gets excited things like that.
