"Switching Off Half of Kenya" is quite literally a "solution" being -- to some degree -- considered by some of our techno-maniac overlords. These BIG men (and women, and themen) of industry are quite literally psychotic. They are without a doubt attempting to accomplish one of the following two goals: 1) Enslaving as much of the lesser-than population as possible (via AI, robotics, military, etc); or 2) Laying a very sophisticated, interwoven, and largely misunderstood groundwork to eventually enable suggestion #1 -- with entire economies of scale (aka trillions of USD dollars) funding every aspect. In the meanwhile, what are we going to do about it?
