  • Another Cass Review

Hello everyone and welcome to Back-Ali-News, on this episode we have some major updates on Orr v. Trump, the case currently battling passport bans, a brief discussion about further effects of federal funding being withheld, and finally we’ll spend the rest of our time talking about the trump administration’s “independent review” of transgender healthcare rumored to be coming out within the next week and how its similarities to the English Cass Review do not bode well for the quality of the research and its effects on the transgender community

  • Animus

Hello everyone and welcome to Back-Ali-News, on this episode we’ll be going back to some old topics and covering some new ones. First on the agenda we have updates on the withholding for federal funding for organizations that promote “Gender Ideology” as referenced in our first episode followed by defining a very common phrase to hear surrounding these actions, “Animus.” After that is all said and done we will cover the transgender military ban known as “Prioritizing Military Readiness,” current efforts to overrule the ban in the federal courts, and the nature of the order itself.

  • Inclement Weather

Hello everyone and welcome to Back-Ali-News, on this episode we’re veering slightly off schedule. As I’m sure many of you are aware, there was a severe outbreak of severe weather over the weekend of March 14-16, 2025, across the states Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. By the end of the weekend, 42 people died during the severe weather outbreak. While we are by no means a weather oriented podcast, events like these pose massive risks to people experiencing housing insecurity. A disproportionate number of the youth homeless population are LGBTQ+ identified and many in the LGBTQ+ community have experienced homelessness in their lives. It entirely possible that a current viewer is experiencing housing insecurity and I decided to dedicate this episode to discussing current rates of homelessness in the LGBTQ+ community as well as sharing resources for finding shelter in inclement weather, specifically Tornados, for those experiencing homelessness as well as what to do if you find yourself trapped outside during inclement weather events. Today we are joined by our guest, Pierce Jennings, a non-binary individual who has lived in Dixie-Alley all of their life.
