Back Chat Show

Paul and Jason look back at the past 2 weeks that saw the exit of the Switchbacks from the Open Cup, and perhaps the lowest point for the club and supporters in 5 years of existence in a 3-1 loss to New Mexico at home. Paul breaks down what a change to a 4-4-2 might do to help, and Jason tries to connect the depressing play with the abundance of country music concerts at the stadium. (Note: You may hear an occasional beep throughout the episode. Don’t worry, its just Jason’s glucose monitor demanding he eat breakfast.)

Paul and Jason return to the airwaves only to find the ship sinking. Join them as they question the ownership, the coaching, the players, the Rapids, the city, spoil Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones, mix metaphors, and create gooder hashtags. #DoAGoal #ParticleBoardRoster

Jason and Paul take a look at the latest Switchbacks results, a loss at home to Reno, and road draw at Portland. Inconsistent back line play and lack of finishing is costing them points, and sliding them down the table. The boys in black and blue need a win in Tulsa this week to prevent them from going winless in April.

Jason and Paul hunker down for Bomb Cyclone 2.0 and discuss the recent Switchbacks road trip to PHX and OC. 16 year old keeper Abe Rodriguez steals the show and a point in Phoenix, only to have the Switchbacks put in a performance in OC that is just… meh. Paul is #concerned.

Paul and Jason try to make sense of the Switchbacks first loss of 2019. Is it too early to panic? Maybe. Is the Rapids partnership working? Maybe not. Will squandering 3 points at home haunt this team’s playoff aspirations? Definitely.
