The Bronze Scales makes their way through the serpent’s remains, discovering a calcified fortress among the forest of bones. Following Bál’s connection to the thundering heart of the titan, the party descends into a chamber of stone and fire, with the heart itself at the center. In a fierce battle with the heart’s deadly defenders, it comes to light that not everyone in the group agrees whose hands should hold the titan’s fate.

Readying themselves to face Trial of Ash and Ember, strange omens are revealed to Felix, which shakes the party’s determination to see the trial through. As the Scales debate whether or not to embark to the elemental plane of fire, Vesper struggles with her dedication to both faith and family.
