Trigger warning....This case is one of the most gruesome and cruelest cases we have covered.... But our hope is keeping it in the public will help it one day be solved.  As with every case we treat these stories with respect and dignity because these are real peoples loved ones and real tragedy people have had to endure.

On the evening of November 18, 1987, police went to the mobile home of Russell Keith Dardeen, 29, and his family outside Ina, Illinois, United States, after he had failed to show up for work that day. Keith, his 8 months along pregnant wife Elaine (30) and their 2 year old son Peter all lived in the home. 

When police entered the home what they found was a truly horrifying scene.  Elaine, her son Peter and a newborn daughter were found deceased in the family bed.  Keith was no where in sight.....It would be until hours later they would find out what happened to Keith and the endless search for answers would begin.

In a shocking incident in 2000, Australian woman Katherine Knight brutally stabbed her partner, John Price, a staggering 37 times. What followed was even more horrifying as she proceeded to skin him, decapitate his head, and cook parts of his body.  This was just the breaking point in a history of violence, crime and horrific acts that no person should have to endure.

On Jan. 3rd,  1935, a man calling himself Roland T. Owen checked into the Hotel President in Kansas City, Missouri.  Carrying no luggage, he was described as being 20 to 35 years old, had brown hair, a scar on his scalp visible above the ear, and a case of cauliflower ear. He was nicely dressed in a black coat and received the room key for room 1046.   He specifically asked for an interior room several floors up.  He paid for one night. 

However, he would never check out.

Two days later he would be found stabbed, tied up and bleeding to death in his room with little clue as to who or what had done these horrible acts.  In a real life game of Clue, police would try to solve the case including an alias, possible organized crime, mysterious phone calls and letters.....all of which are still unsolved to this day.

Sunday April 30th, 1989, the Congregation of Olive Branch Church in Lakeville Indiana were gathering for the 9:30 a.m., several of them noticed the absence of Pastor Bob, his wife and their 5 children. This was not like him as he was always there early to greet people as they entered the church.

Growing uneasy they decided to check it out.....What they would find is a horrible murder and what would ensue is a controversial murder conviction that to this day is still being debated in the courts and appealed.  This is the prom night murders.

On the morning of February 13, 2009, in Escondido, CA, around approx. 7 am, 14-year-old Amber DuBois was seen walking to school. She wore a backpack that held a $200 check earmarked for her 4-H Club project, where she planned to purchase a lamb who she had already named Nannet. 

Amber would never make it to school that day and it would be over a year before a break in her case would come when on February 25, 2010, 17-year-old Chelsea King vanished without a trace while on a run in Rancho Bernardo Park.

These cases would bring to light inexcusable issues with the judicial system when it comes to the sentencing, punishment, and monitoring of sexual offenders.   You can continue the fight to advocate for harsher punishments through the support of Chelsea's Law in your state.

It was 1972 in Santa Cruz, California.  It was a time of love and peace…..The age of aquirius.  Many people described it as a fun and free time period to live….

However, this would all change In August of that year when group of hikers found a skull up in the Loma Prieta Mountain.  This would be the beginning of a horrific killing spree that would paralyze a city and steal the innocence of residents who lived for years in fear that they were prey being hunted by a sick killer.  

This is the case of the Coed Killer, Ed Kemper.  Here we cover his childhood, background and first murders.  This shit is super f-ed up....so brace yourself.

The following case  references crimes committed against children. The details provided within this episode are relevant to the case and necessary in explaining the case. Our intent is to spread awareness in hopes of one day seeing this case solved and justice served. As we always strive to do, we will treat the details and those impacted by the case with dignity and respect.

Between 1971 and 1973 in the city of Rochester, New York three murders took place that to this day have yet to be solved. Carmen Colon, Wanda Walkowicz, and Michelle Maenza  were girls aged ten or eleven whose last name began with the same letter as that of her first name.   

The Alphabet murders (also known as the Double Initial murders) are an unsolved series of child murders which occurred between 1971 and 1973 in Rochester, New York 

To this day people still debate if it was the same killer or if there are more than one individual involved......what is MOST important is that we continue to drive awareness to this case in the hopes that one day it will be solved and justice will be served.
