Responsibility and Vulnerability ... 🙊💛

Remember this … no one wins the award at

the end of the line for “doing it all themselves”.

It's ok to not be ok.

It's ok to prioritise some things more than others, even if those some things might go against the grain.

It's ok to ask for help.

It's ok to be helped.

It's ok to say “I need this”.

It's ok to clock off.

It's ok to rest, even if you feel like you haven't “earned it”.

You don't need my permission, not really, and yet some of us are still holding out breaths, waiting for it, so I'm going to give it to you if only to release you from your own self-imposed independence. It's time to let yourself be vulnerable, embrace your softness, all the parts of you, and be ok with not “doing it all”.

The podcast episode is about brands and businesses who “support women” on the surface, but when you look deeper are in fact taking advantage of women-led small businesses.

Why I'm not ok with that, and why you shouldn't be either.

I'm not here to call out specific companies or organisations. I'm here to open up a conversation, call awareness to this issue, that if left unchecked, will keep so many women in business stuck in a cycle of self-doubt, feast and famine with money, undercharging and in survival mode instead of thriving and rising together

How are we meant to close the wage gap when women businesses don't pay other women?

How are we supposed to support women if that support only extends to sharing an IG post they made and not paying their invoices on time?

How are we meant to demand respect in the entrepreneurial space if we treat other women with such disrespect?

It just doesn't work.

Let's not leave these conversations for another day. They need to happen now.

Ripping down that patriarchy, it begins here,

Ever since I was young, I have always faced bouts of anxiety and stress.

My biggest breakdown was when… at 34 weeks pregnant my hubby was away on a boys trip and i was overcome with this panic that something would happen to my husband while he was away and i would be left to have the baby by myself, It was completely illogical fear, i knew it was anxiety and yet i couldn’t stop the panic, it rose up in me without warning, without explanation, without logic

I managed to rein it in, but I strongly believe that if you don’t master your emotions, they will master you.

Managing your stress and anxiety is a key part of becoming a successful mother, woman and entrepreneur.
