Buzz Kemper speaks with Kayla Clinton, Abby Becker, Keith Abler, and Governor Tony Evers about Rocky Knoll's century of caregiving. Rocky Knoll Health Care Center began its century of caring for Sheboygan County residents in 1926 when it opened as a facility to care for people diagnosed with tuberculosis. Today, Rocky Knoll is licensed to serve up to 149 residents, providing short-term rehabilitation and long-term care care. In a unique model, Rocky Knoll also offers on-site child care and fosters intergenerational connections between the residents and the facility’s youngest visitors. The facility was also home to the family of Gov. Evers, whose father was the medical director of Rocky Knoll until he retired in 1982.

In response to enthusiastic requests from high school students for a new mountain bike park, the Village of DeForest joined up with UniverCity Alliance to create a park that is responsible to citizens and the local environment. Buzz Kemper talks with Greg Hall, Director of Public Services for the Village of Deforest, Judd Blau, Village of DeForest Director of Public Services and Deputy Administrator, and Cooper Rosin, Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies about creating a balanced trail.

He also serves as the academic partner on the WPP-funded Onedia Food Sovereignty Initiative, and Vanessa Miller, Oneida Nation Food and Agriculture Manager. They will be speaking on the Ukwakhwa: Seeds to Table initiative, which is WPP-funded work to promote health and Indigenous food traditions.
