Baka! Baka! Baka! An Anime Podcast!

It’s an anime geek’s favorite time of year, Halloween! Spoopy anime and no one laughs at your Naruto costume for one day? What’s not to love! The Baka Club is celebrating by watching a shonen battle anime mixed up with a horror monster genre. Will Tokyo Ghoul feed our appetite? Or will it feel revolting […]

They’re tiny. They’re toony. They make Jason a little looney. This week we’re discussing the art of chibi. These adorable large head and tiny body character designs are everywhere in the anime we watch from major series spin-offs to funny moments in otherwise hardcore anime. Cute may not be our forte but that won’t stop […]

Planet with a moon? Planet with a blue dress on? What is Planet With anyway? For some, it’s just another anime about an amnesiac boy and his gothic maid having adventures in his cat sensei mecha. You know, anime stuff. But to The Baka Club, this is a deep dive into ethics and morals the […]

The princess lived happily ever after. See what I did there? That’s called a plot hole. I think. I’m not actually fully sure I understand the definition of what a plot hole is. Our latest episode reviews the Netflix anime A.I.C.O. -Incarnation-, a dark sci-fi story full of twists and turns. One of those twists is a really bad English dub but we’ll talk about that later. We do our bests to understand the science presented and try to make the anime even scarier that it already is. […]

We’ve all watched an anime that we just can’t stand. Vampire Knight. We’ve all seen anime we think could be better. Vampire Knight. And we all have thoughts on how those anime can do that. Unless it’s Vampire Knight. This week we discuss anime that just didn’t feel quite right to us and the corrections […]

Bro. This week we watched an anime with men punching each other, robotic arms and painful surgeries without any pain medication. It’s the most manly thing we’ve ever seen since one of the Rocky movies. We can’t remember which one. The one where he fights on the side of a cliff and has to stop […]

It doesn’t matter to us if they’re in disguise or plain as day. We hear at Baka Baka Baka love robots. We may not always agree on what a robot is but we love them anyways. So for this minisode, we’re discussing our favorite robots in anime and the ones we’d want in our personal […]
