Normally this is where I'd try to put something even halfway informative about what happens in this recording, but I'm about to go to work and have two more of these to edit and post anyway; so I'm guessing y'all won't mind if just don't bother.

On this episode of Bakacast, we review a bunch of shows that are fine, I guess, but YO, THAT KIZUMONOGATARI MOVIE IS PRETTY LEGIT, YOU GUYS! The short version is that I loved it, but if you want the long version, I decided to record a separate part of this podcast later in the evening so Megan could join Ben and I. You'll find that recording (where we talk about the movie for over 40 minutes) stapled to what would normally be the end of our usual podcast. This was partly to make editing easier, but mostly to let people listen to this episode as normal and turn it off at the end if they want to avoid getting spoiled on the movie.

On this episode of Bakacast, everyone gets the time we're supposed to be recording correctly. Aaron continues his descent into the abyss that is the ongoing Bleach manga, Dimension W tries to tug at our heartstrings, Baku Dake thinks outside the box, and Rakugo gets really depressing. Also, look forward to our review of Kizumonogatari on the next podcast.

On this episode of Bakacast, Ben is not with us because he misread Tuesday as Thursday, so Larry, Aaron and I recorded without him. Which mostly means that I talked a lot and sometimes remembered that Larry had opinions on things, too.

On this episode of Bakacast, Celty's shadow horse steals our hearts, I make wild guesses about the mysteries in Boku Dake, Yamato sees the faces of their enemies, and we let you know what we think of what's been going on in other shows like Garo and Iron-Blooded Orphans.

On this episode of Bakacast, I finally get off my ass and catch up on my recording backlog for once in my life. As much as I love you, listeners, I didn't do it for you. I did it for myself. To prove I could be something other than terrible for a change. Anyway, I guess we reviewed that Rakugo show that's apparently the new hotness. It's very good, okay? You win. You all win.

On this episode of Bakacast, an embarrassing episode of Active Raid causes us to give it the boot, I try to puzzle my way through the character relationships in Shirayuki-hime, and my fears of the new Macross series are pretty much confirmed.

It's the second week of the winter season, which means this is where we actually get down and dirty with the new shows (and mercilessly destroy the ones undeserving of our time). Though, honestly, the shows we've picked seem mostly fine? So our decision of which five to review regularly is more about which ones we care about the most rather than which ones don't totally suck.
Well, except for Schwarzesmarken. That show totally sucks.

We usher in what is technically the first week of the winter season with a mercifully short episode for a change. It's just under an hour! AMAZING! Since most shows from fall were done and the majority of winter shows hadn't aired yet, we padded the episode out a bit with reviews of the first two episodes of Yamato 2199 and the first Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt OVA. Considering all of us on Bakacast are sci-fi nerds, both of those shows being very good made us quite happy. It certainly makes up for KyoAni going from the critically-acclaimed Sound Euphonium to the dreck that is Musaigen no Phantom World.

We're finally done with this marathon of a season, and we'll soon be testing out our new review system so we won't get nearly as worn out as we did this time. In the meantime, we rave about the endings of One Punch Man, Owarimonogatari, Noragami and Planetes.
