January 17, 2025 Balance Selections 311: Adana Twins & Upercent
For the first Balance Selections outing of 2025, we have a special mix combining two singular acts. Spain’s Upercent has carved a sound on revered labels such as Innervisions, Kompakt, HABITAT, and Diynamic. Meanwhile, Adana Twins, a German duo whose journey began with a breakthrough in 2012, have evolved into pillars of the scene. Together, they represent the dual forces of audacious creativity and steady refinement.
In this sharp 60-minute mix, the trio crafts a moody mix of spacious deep tech house filled with moments of old-school euphoria. Featuring tracks from Hunter/Game, Mita Gami, Kadosh, and more, this cerebral mix serves as a reminder of the joys of creative collaboration.

December 13, 2024 Balance Selections 310: Trance Wax
Trance Wax, the brainchild of Belfast’s Garry McCartney (aka Ejeca), has become a key player in modern trance since its 2016 inception as a remix project. With trance resurging in popularity, embraced by global icons like Bicep, Trance Wax stays true to those roots, blending nostalgia with innovation through bold live setups. From a Radio 1 Essential Mix to Boiler Room performances, sold-out vinyl runs, and remixes for Kylie Minogue and Solomun, McCartney’s dedication and vision have cemented Trance Wax as a leading force in the contemporary trance landscape.
For our final Balance Selections mix of 2024, we’re thrilled to welcome the remix extraordinaire for an exciting journey through progressive and trance. Featuring tracks and remixes from Kostya Outta, Ejeca, and, naturally, Trance Wax, this mix is a vibrant ride filled with a few unexpected surprises along the way.
