Balls And Beards Podcast

Welcome back all to the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST brought to you by Fat Boys Tacos!! The boys had so much to say about the upcoming season, that they needed two episodes to fit it all in!

That's right, the armchair analysis you never knew you craved is back with our BIG 2025 NFL SEASON PREVIEW EXTRAVAGANZA Part II!!  The fellas kickoff the special bonus edition of all things football live from Bravery Brewery - the AV's best - by welcoming on special guests of the show!

Angel kicks off the special bonus guest portion of the show by talking all things Cowboys, including trying to make sense of the big Micah Parsons trade.

Then it's the dynamic duo of Harold & Carlos - longtime fans who bring a little friendly NFC West rivalry spice to the show. Harold's a Seahawks fan, Carlos reps the Rams, it was a fun interview, see what the boys have to think about the upcoming season.

Then the fellas welcome on Danny Green, to talk all things Tampa Bay Buccaneers- related! We all love the Bucs in the NFC South this year, but how far can they go? Danny gives his expectations for what should be a pretty tough Tampa team.

Next up, Justin & Chris give you some Fantasy Football Sleepers to target & a few mid-round targets that could help you win you your league  🔥🏈 Finally, they give their picks for NFL MVP - will it be Josh Allen? Lamar Jackson? Joe Burrow? Or a possible surprise?

Lastly, it wouldn't be an episode of course, let alone a two-part NFL preview extravaganza episode, without our Golden Beard of the Week Award. You don't want to miss the fellas' nominees! All of that plus much, much more come join us for Part II of our 2025 NFL SEASON PREVIEW EXTRAVAGANZA!

Welcome back everyone to the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST presented by FAT BOY's TACOs! In today's all-NBA episode special, the boys tip-off the festivities with an NBA Finals recap featuring our special guest (and big Thunder fan!) Tony!

After discussing the Thunder getting it done in a thrilling 7-game series against the upstart Pacers, & bringing home the city's first Title since the move to OKC, the boys talk NBA Draft where the least surprising pick ever occurred at the top as Justin's Mavs took Cooper Flagg #1 overall. There were some surprises however, and the boys were not a fan of the #5 overall pick - don't miss what the fellas had to say about the draft.

Then it's onto the Kevin Durant trade - the Rockets made a move to break up their young core a bit that had managed to shoot up to the #2 seed in the West this past season. Will KD ease in and help Houston get to the Finals, or was this a bad move that might have just erased the giant leaps taken this past season?

Then of course it would not be an episode without our "Golden Beard of the Week Award". You won't want to miss this week's nominees - including special guest, Tony, and his nominee - we had history, a dominant KO victory, and some WNBA spotlight with this week's nominees. All of that plus much, much more - come join us for Season 5 Episode 14 of the Balls and Beards Podcast!

Special thank you to our special guest Tony - if you are in the AV make sure you stop by Bravery Brewery and say hi to all of our friends at AV's Best Brewery. And make sure you stop by Fat Boy's Tacos, our official partnership, a big shout out to Robert!

Make sure you checkout our local professional soccer team - AV Alta FC - now up to #3 in the latest rankings!

Welcome back all to the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST presented by Fat Boys Tacos! It's an All-NBA episode as the boys are back and talking Eastern & Western Conference Finals plus two marque franchises face potentially perplexing off-seasons - how will the Boston Celtics & Golden State Warriors navigate their way through the off-season? The boys have answers!

Then it's onto the NBA Draft where the ... Dallas Mavericks  managed to snag the top spot in the Cooper Flag sweepstakes, despite having the slimmest odds of landing the top pick at just 1.5% . The Spurs and 76ers were potential big-winners as well, as they also defied the odds to land the #2 & #3 picks, respectively.

The fellas wrap-up today's episode by touching on the NBA Awards including SGA taking home his first MVP Award  🏆

And of course it wouldn't be a full episode without the Golden Beard Award - you don't want to miss the boys' nominees as they have 3 entertaining choices for this week's Award! All of that plus much more - come join us for Season 5 Episode 13 of the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST Presented by Fat Boys Tacos!

Welcome back all to the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST! We start off today's Season 5 Episode 12 with a very special guest! The boys tip-off today's blockbuster episode by welcoming on the AV's very own Robert of Fat Boys Tacos for a special announcement that has us all very excited!

Then it's onto the NFL where Shedeur Sanders' fall to day 3 of the draft stole the headlines, but there were several winners & losers according to the fellas as they breakdown the 1st Round of the Draft. How will the Jaguars deploy their new shiny toy in Travis Hunter? Plus, not so high marks for the Cowboys, while Mikee, Chris, and Justin should all be happy with their 1st Rd choices. And, of course, no draft breakdown would not be complete without a discussion as to what happened with Shedeur Sanders? The boys have their thoughts...

Next it's onto the NBA where the playoffs are in full-swing. Top-seeds OKC & Cleveland made mincemeat out of the Grizzlies & Heat, the latter in record-setting fashion. Plus the boys discuss the incredible series between the Nuggets & Clippers and of course the surprising early exits of both Chris's Bucks & Mikee's Lakers in just 5 games to the Pacers & T-Wolves, respectively. What went wrong for both?

No episode would be complete of course without the Golden Beard of the Week Award - this week we have our first unanimous nominee - FAT BOYS TACOOOOOSSSS!!!

A special thank you to Robert, and to all of our listeners out there as we look forward to what's in store for the future of the podcast!

Welcome back all to THE BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST! We are super-pumped for today's Season 5 Episode 11! The NBA Playoffs are here and after today's final two play-in games, the NBA Playoff bracket will be officially set.

Before all of the series' tip-off this weekend, the boys have you covered with previews and picks for every series starting in the East and finishing with the absurdly-stacked West. Chris's Bucks are hot, but can they get revenge on the Pacers? Mikee's Lakers have looked great since landing Luka, but can they get past a feisty Timberwolves group that finished the season strong? Plus the Clippers on fire, Denver making head-scratching decisions, and could the upstart Rockets be on upset alert against the Warriors? Will the Knicks struggle with the surprise Pistons? The boys have answers to all of those questions & more!

Plus, AV Alta scored a massive victory and have maintained an unbeaten home record thus far early in the season - as always, we check-in with our local Professional futbol team!

All of that plus much, much more, come join us for an NBA PLAYOFF PREVIEW extravaganza in Season 5 Episode 11 of the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST!

Welcome back all to the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST! In today's all-NBA Season 5 Episode 10, the boys have you covered with a full rundown of both the Eastern & Western Conferences as teams make their final push for playoff positioning ahead of the postseason.

The East is pretty well set, but the West is far from decided as the #2 - #8 spots are yet to be decided... The Warriors are continuing their climb up the standings, the Grizzlies continue to slide, and the Rockets, Lakers, and Nuggets remain in the thick of things. OKC has already easily wrapped-up the top spot, but there is much to be decided in the juggernaut that is the Western Conference.

Then it's time to give out some hardware - Balls and Beards style! That's right, its the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST NBA AWARDS. The fellas give you their picks for Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, 6th Man of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and MVP. There was a consensus (2/3) on every pick except COY where the boys were evenly split with 3 deserving picks. So who takes home the BALLS AND BEARDS Hardware??

As always, before wrapping up Season 5 Episode 10, the boys had their Golden Beard of the Week nominees, and man there are some great selections this week! Come join us for all of this, plus much, much more!

Welcome back all to the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST! In today's Season 5 Episode 9, the boys have you covered with a FULL RECAP from what was a very busy start to NFL Free Agency.

The Commanders loaded up around young star QB Jayden Daniels, the Bears beefed up & retooled their O-line; plus trades, big signings, and will Aaron Rodgers finally make a decision?

Plus the Cowboys & 49ers stand pat, the Eagles lose some key players from their Super Bowl Title-winning defense, and the Seahawks were incredibly active, trading both star WR DK Metcalf & QB Geno Smith, while bringing Sam Darnold.

What does it all mean? Who were the big NFL Free Agency winners & losers? The boys have you covered with a full breakdown & recap of all of the exciting off-season activity.

Then it's onto the NBA where we are inching closer toward the playoffs. The West has become a jumbled, heated juggernaut as OKC continues to distance themselves from the pack, but the Nuggets, Lakers, surging Rockets, and Grizzlies all find themselves just two games apart while jostling for position between the 2-5 spots. In the East, it's same old same old as the top 6 are pretty well set in stone by this point, and we are trending toward having a pair of historically bad teams make the play-in.

Lastly, it wouldn't be an episode without the Golden Beard of the Week Award! Last week Mikee got back in the win column, and then we had a first for this week as both Mikee & Justin had the same nominee! Will their joint-nominee take home the Award or will it be Chris's turn?

All of that plus much, much more - including a fun 'March Madness' story from yesteryear as the NCAA Tournament is in full-swing. Come join us for a rousing Season 5 Episode 9 of the BALLS AND BEARDS PODCAST!

Then it's onto the NFL where the offseason has already kicked off with some big news involving Deebo Samuel being shipped off to the Commanders in exchange for a 5th round pick, the Raiders wrapping up Max Crosby to a record-setting deal, plus all of the biggest signings & news as the NFL offseason is 'off & running'!
