What up doe!
Welcome back to another installment of Baltimore County Forever Podcast. We’re going 3 for 3 so here’s part three of “The Book Of Hiphop” with Aleem of Laptop Chronicles. If this is your first time checking this series out, I ask my friends to give me random dates (mm/dd/yy) for Aleem and I to read out of the Chuck D book titled, “The Book of Hip-Hop.” I discussed these dates, our thoughts on the day, where we were, background info, if any, and what the day may mean to us.
Here’s I talk with my brother CJ and my nephew Camden. CJ & I discuss someone releasing an album under rapper Trina’s name that doesn’t have shit to do with her like AT ALL 😂😂.
We talk if Jay-Z’s “Blueprint 3” was a necessary album, and who would Drake have signed to if he didn’t sign to Young Money in ‘09?
I also chat with my man Vic him and Aleem discuss their thoughts on the impact that Slick Rick and his debut album, “The Adventures of Slick Rick” had on hip-hop. We also speak on Organized Noise and the importance of their sound to southern hip-hop. There’s some OutKast, Goodie Mob, and Wu-Tang talk and some Eminem Detroit talk.
Finally, I speak with Stacey of Raw Brown Sugar Podcast to see what she’s up to, and we discuss if Nas started with “It was Written” instead of “Illmatic,” would he still be considered a legend?
