  • Episode 113: You Gotta Play This Shxt @ My Wedding Starring @itspri_destined @shxt_vegans_eat (@jawnswithpassports)
Whattup doe! Welcome to another installment of Baltimore County Forever Podcast.  This is the R&B episode, so I brought back my love interest Lauren and her bestfriend and my fellow podren, Pri of It’s Pridestined the Podcast.
This week, the playlist is full of songs with wedding reception vibes. We have songs like “You Bring Me Joy” by Mary J. Blige, and Lauren & Pri discuss what Mary’s music meant to them growing up as young black women. We talk about how relatable her music is to them and if they relate to other female artists more.
It would’t be an R&B episode without Jodeci, so “Forever My Lady” is also on the playlist. The three of us play a game of one has to go between Jodeci, Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, and 112 and surprisingly, we weren’t all in agreement at first.
We also talk about “Throwback” by Usher, and if every song on the “Confessions” album could’ve been a single. We all consider the album a classic but is it the best R&B album of that decade?
Tune in for the other songs that made the wedding playlist!!

  • Episode 112: Unfinished Business Featuring @aleemthedream of @the_laptop_chronicles
    Whattup doe!
Welcome back to Baltimore County Forever Podcast. Today we have 1 of our favorite returning guests, Aleem from “The Laptop Chronicles” podcast.
We start with Juice World’s tragic passing, and we discuss who, outside of Juice World, can be held accountable for his death.
Then, we get into this week’s playlist. Songs that made the list include “Doin It” by LL Cool J. Aleem picks 4 songs to pass on to younger generations that don’t listen to LL to appreciate his music and contributions in the game.
Next up is “Flava in Ya Ear Remix” by Craig Mack. We discuss if Craig Mack had the breakout album instead of BIG and if Bad Boy would’ve still become the legendary label its known to be today.
Similarly, “Shame on a Nigga” by Wu Tang made the list and we talk on who has the best verse on this legendary song and Aleem explains which of the other songs on this album he would like as a single.
“Holla Holla Remix” by Ja Rule is also on this week’s list. Aleem and I talk about how important it was for Irv Gotti to align himself with Rocafella during this time period.
Tune in for our takes on these songs and the others that made the list!!

Whattup doe! Welcome back to another installment of Baltimore County Forever Podcast. We have a friend of the show Aleem’s back!!
Of course we have to start the episode with Hov, as he celebrated his 50th birthday this week. Aleem discusses his favorite Hov memory.
Then we jump into this week’s playlist. We cover Wu Tang’s “Hollow Bones” first, and Aleem gives me his thoughts on the album this song is featured on and how it compares to the debut album from the group.
Then we cover Common ft. Nas “Ghetto Dreams.”
We talk on how this collaboration happened in 2011 and if it was long overdue. We also discuss if this song could also fit on a different Common album or a Nas album.
Next up is “Kick In The Door” by BIG. We touch on Biggie’s nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 and if he deserves to be inducted based on his limited number of albums.  On the topic of legends, we briefly talk about Wack 100’s comments about Nipsey not being a legend.
Other songs that made this week’s discussion were “Hootie Hoo” by Outkast, “Tical” by Method Man, “Shimmy Shimmy” by ODB and a few others. Tune in to hear more!!

  • Episode 109: My Brothers & Me 2 Starring @Norm_Regular & @Chescressfree of Scressfree Sundays Podcast
    Whattup doe!
We’re back with episode 109 and we got my man Norm and our guy Che of Scressfree Sundays Podcast.  We get into Che’s playlist and a few other recent happenings.
First up is Jay-Z’s “Song Cry,” considered one of the best songs on The Blueprint. With both Norm and Che being artists, I ask if they have a “Song Cry” in their catalog. They also explain if being too personal too soon as an artist is a thing.
Next up is “4,3,2,1” by LL Cool J. The three of us discuss who had the best verse, the most underrated verse, and where the song ranks in the posse cut days. We also talk on the Canibus and LL beef if we remember this phenomenon album.
“Juicy” by BIG is next. We talk about what the era of sampling did for the Hiphop genre, and what Puff means to Hiphop. On the topic of Bad Boy, we also touch on King Los and why his deal with Bad Boy didn’t work out.
After “Juicy,” we move on to Lupe Fiasco’s “Dumb It Down.” Norm speaks on if he’s ever heard that his music goes over his fans’ heads and if anyone has tried to convince him to change his sound.
I give Che the task of being the A&R for Da Baby’s next project and he tells me which producer he would put on the album. We also talk if Meg Thee Stallion and Da Baby’s style of music will last.
We also talk tracks by Fab, Rick Ross, Roddy Rich, Wu Tang, Freeway and more.  Then Che takes us back to talk about high school rap battles.

  • Episode 108: 2002 Starring @The_Laptop_Chronicles & Vic of Crooked Streetz Radio
Whattup doe! Welcome back to Baltimore County Forever Podcast. This is Episode 108 and we have a returning guest, Aleem of The Laptop Chronicles. This week’s episode is all about the year 2002 in hip-hop.
First topic is Irv Gotti as a producer vs an executive. Aleem discusses which he prefers as we cover his involvement in Fat Joe’s album, “Jealous Ones Still Envy.”
We move on to the growth of Camron. Does Dipset become the powerhouse they were without Rocafella? Then, it’s “Nellyville” by Nelly, and Aleem and I discuss what Chuck Brown, an artist sampled on the album, means to DC.
We then attempt to get into 50 Cent’s album, “Guess Who’s Back,” but we both struggle to remember anything but one song on the album. So we call up Vic to get his thoughts on the album and end up in a Hiphop rabbit hole..... 😂😂
Since Aleem is a Detroit native, we discuss Eminem and the 8 Mile movie, so Aleem explains if the movie depicts the city accurately.
What would an episode of Baltimore County Forever Podcast be without mentioning the Clipse? We talk about  which version of “Cot Damn” we like and how important was it for the Neptunes to start a label.
Lastly, Aleem talks about Xzibit and his 4th album, “Man vs Machine” and we wrap up the show with Jam Master Jay’s death and its influence on Hip-Hop.

  • Episode 107: PA Gang Starring @Shxt_Vegans_Eat
    Whattup doe!
Andddddd welcome back to another installment of Baltimore County Forever Podcast, we’re back with episode 107 and I have my “Love Interest” 😂😂 Lauren on this week. We start with a quick discussion on her plant-based diet, why she chose that lifestyle, and tips and tricks to maintain it.
Then we get into this week’s playlist. We first revisit Eminem’s diss to MGK, “We Are Not Alike,” and if it was a smart move for Em to make so late in the “beef.” Then we move to Asher Roth, pinpointing exactly where he’s from in Pennsylvania and his song, “Be Myself” with Cee Lo. We discuss why Cee Lo isn’t a frequent go-to for features.
Next, we talk about Wiz, another artist from PA, and Lauren rates him on a scale of 1-10. Then, we move to “Sacrifice” by Ricky Rozay, and his streak of horrible albums. Lauren also talks about her terrible experience at a Rick Ross concert.
We then get into GOOD music artists, and discuss Ye’s “Love Lockdown,” followed by Pusha T’s “Lunch Money.” Who does Push create better music with: Ye or his fellow VA beach artist Pharrell?
Next up is Juicy J’s “Ballin” and we talk on his deal with Taylor Gang and if it has anything to do with his popularity today.  Then we have “Love Me” by Wayne, Drank, and Future and we get into the expectations from each artist in 2020.
Of course, we touch on the Breakfast Club/Gucci Mane subject, and why both Gucci and Charlamagne were wrong. “Show Me What You Got” by Hov closes the show, and we discuss whether the Kingdom Come album was necessary.

    What up doe!
Welcome back to Baltimore County Forever Podcast. This is episode 106 and we got my man Norm on today.
We jump right into it with a new segment called “Regular Norm Rants.” Norm vents to gets some things off his chest- specifically Dave East going commercial.
Then we get into this week’s playlist and start off with the Ruff Ryders, Swizz Beatz, X & Drag-on. How important was Swizz Beatz to crafting their sound? Would Ruff Ryders have been as dominant as they were if Dame Grease did the majority of their beats instead of Swizz?
We then change gears to Black Rob, and Norm and I talk about “Whoa” and its producer, Buckwild. Norm talks about his favorite track produced by Buckwild.
Next we jump into the Missy Elliott and Ms. Jade track, “Funky Fresh.” Why aren’t these two mentioned when people discuss top female rappers?
Tune into the DJ Khaled discussion, where we talk about “Wild Thoughts” actually being a Wu Tang sample, not a Carlos Santana sample.
Finally we talk about “Never Let Me Down” by Jay and Ye made the list this week and I talk about the first time I heard it and that version only having 1 Jay verse.
