Traditional irish reel - lovely tune. first heard this played on a celtic harp.

A couple of fiddle tunes, give me about another year, I may have them down.

Played all instruments - banjo, bass, fiddle, 6 string and mandolin

O'Carolan wrote this in honor of one of a hostess where he stayed awhile. He was a blind Irish harpist, born in 1670.

Irish Reel - GCGCD tuning.

Heard this tune played by Noel Hill on his solo album and finally got around to learning it.

The band asked me to work this one up and to be honest it's a million miles away from my usual style.

I tried to work it up in 'open G' tuning; then changed my mind and used 'open D' tuning, then decided I wanted a low drone so started again in 'open C' capoed up to D.

It's a beautiful tune and I think i've done it justice, i'm quite proud of this one, hope y'all like it.
