Pastor Luke dives into Jonah in this message, continuing his study on the Minor Prophets of the Old Testament. While the book of Jonah can certainly be a lot to swallow, Pastor Luke divides the book up into a few parts to make it easier. If our knowledge of the book of Jonah begins and ends with a whale then we are missing out on what God wants to show us in this short book. The theme of Jonah is "God wants to save people who will turn to Him" or more succinctly "Salvation". Out of just the first 16 verses of the first chapter we can draw out several incredible points:
The disobedient servant of God
The call of God
Jonah’s flight
The contrast of God’s man and the pagans of the world
When the pagans are praying, God’s people are sleeping
When the pagans are seeking, God’s people are fleeing
When the pagans are bowing, God’s people are sinking
The foreshadowing pictures of the coming Christ

Pastor Luke Hollis brings another great challenge from Mark chapter 1. We look together at verses 21-34 and Pastor draws out several fantastic applications. The title of this message is "The Authority of the King". Follow along as Pastor Luke discusses Christ's authority on display in this Passage:
The God in this Passage is the same God today and Christ's authority in these areas demands a response from us.
Pastor Luke continues his series in Mark 1. He picks up where he left off last time and looks at the calling of the disciples.
Pastor Rowland finishes the message he began this morning expositing from II Timothy 1:7-12. He picks up in verse 10 and jumps right into a great portion of the passage that speaks on how Jesus Christ has abolished death and made it completely ineffective. He finishes the message in verse 12 where Paul discusses how through all of the things he has suffered, he is confident in whom he has believed. This is the second half of the message on this passage. To see the first half please click here.
Pastor Bill Rowland continues his series on the books of Timothy. This morning we start in II Timothy 1:7-12. Pastor Rowland does an excellent job explaining how we can take great comfort in the fact that "God hath not given us the spirit of fear;". It is truly amazing how many different applications can be drawn out of such a short Passage. This is definitely a message you don't want to miss. Pastor only gets through verse 9 before time is up so be sure to catch the second half of the message here.
Pastor Rowland opens up the Word to I Timothy chapter 6:3-11 to continue his series of messages. He focuses specifically on the word godliness and how it is used throughout this passage and throughout the rest of the New Testament. This message will both challenge and encourage you, like the Word of God always does when we choose to apply its Truth to our lives.
Pastor Luke starts a new series this evening on Old Testament Minor Prophets. Specifically he starts in the book of Haggai (apparently pronounced Hag-ai, not Hag-ee-ai). Pastor reads through the entire first chapter of Haggai and points out some very salient points. Although this book was written to ancient Israel, Pastor Luke draws some strong applications to our lives today. He shows us that God's work must get the priority in our lives. If we give God's work priority He will bless us. God will bless us with His presence as we do His work. God will also give us the blessing of satisfaction as we do His work.
