The Rays lost a series for the first time in 2025 by dropping Sunday’s road finale to the Rangers, 6-4.

It’s also the fourth straight loss and the first time Tampa Bay (4-5) has had a losing record this season.

The Rays return home tonight for the first of 13 straight home games at Steinbrenner Field.

The Rays get a day off for the second time this season, less than a week after their last one. The 13 games in 13 days homestand starts tomorrow, April 8th, 2025 with 3 games hosting the Los Angeles Angels.

The Rays lost a series for the first time in 2025 with a 6-4 loss at Globe Life Field to the Rangers. It was their second loss in the three game series in the Lonestar State.

Taj Bradley got touched up for a bunch of runs, but it was Mason Montgomery taking the loss after giving up a two run home run to Wyatt Langford when it was tied at 4.

Tampa Bay (4-4) is tied for third in the American League East and plays AL West leading Texas (7-2) this afternoon before heading home.

Tampa Bay (3-1) had another good outing from their starting pitching and the lone loss was a one run game. Pittsburgh (1-5) probably wants out of Florida since their spring training home is in Bradenton and they’ve started the year losing series to the Marlins and now, the Rays.

Zack Littell pitched well, but the Rays scored just one run on 12 hits and was caught out at the plate twice and squandered a bases loaded opportunity to fall for the first time at Steinbrenner Field.
