Basketball Conference: The ACC Football Podcast

We're back with our March update that includes an NFL Combine review for ACC players, Listener Questions, and more!

The Clemson Tigers won the ACC Championship for the third straight year in 2017, which set up a re-match with the Alabama Crimson Tide (for the third straight season) in the College Football Playoff. Unlike the previous two years, the Tigers took on 'Bama in the CFP Semifinal--the Sugar Bowl. It did not go as planned, as the Tigers fell 24-6 to the eventual National Champs.

We recap the campaign and assess the outlook for the Tigers moving forward. Big Hint: Things look pretty good.

With all of our 2017 team recaps in the books, we're back in offseason form this week talking about the 2018 ACC Football Schedule that dropped (Boston College has a real doozy this fall), National Signing Day results across the ACC (Clemson was efficient as HELL), how North Carolina isn't consistently better than they are, and we talk a bit of Valentines' Day with a few ACC coaching situations (better make a bowl game in 2018, Bronco Mendenhall).

The 2017 Miami Hurricanes stormed out of the gate this season, winning their first 10 games of the year and capturing their first Coastal Division title since joining the ACC. However, the Canes sputtered down the stretch, as they fell in an upset to Pitt in the regular season finale, got smoked by #1 Clemson in the ACC Championship, and got dominated by Wisconsin's defense in the Orange Bowl.

It was a good stepping stone year for Miami, and we debate how close they are to being "back" in our latest podcast.

A 9-4 season where you finish second in the Atlantic Division and notch a blowout win in a bowl game seems like a successful season to us. We recap the 2017 NC State Wolfpack in our latest podcast.

With many offensive pieces to replace off of the 2016 roster, the 2017 Virginia Tech Hokies enjoyed a modest 9-4 campaign behind a stout defense and youthfully exuberant offense. Despite the nine wins, there are areas to improve heading into 2018, and we discuss it all in our latest podcast.

Behind an unexpected record-setting season from senior quarterback John Wolford, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons finished with an 8-5 record that included a Belk Bowl victory. We discuss the Demon Deacons and their successful 2017 campaign in our latest podcast.

The 2017 Louisville Cardinals held their hat on the greatness of Lamar Jackson and finished the year with a winning record despite poor offensive line play and a porous defense.

How should we grade the year overall, and what is the outlook moving forward without one of the best quarterbacks in college football history?

We discuss all of this and more in our latest podcast.

The 2017 Boston College Eagles stormed back from a 1-3 start to finish with a 7-5 regular season record and a berth in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl. Despite the 27-20 loss to Iowa in the bowl game, this season can be seen as a building block, especially on offense, for the foreseeable future behind running back A.J. Dillon.

We talk about Dillon and the rest of the Eagles in our newest podcast.

Despite a blowout loss to the Navy Midshipmen in the Military Bowl, the 2017 season for the Virginia Cavaliers should not be interpreted as anything other than a success.

We recap the 'Hoos in our newest podcast
