Basketball Conference: The ACC Football Podcast

Mike and Joey are back this week, recapping a reasonably tame Week 12 of ACC action, including...

-- Louisville was absolutely embarrassed by Houston on Thursday night...and Joey was there!

-- Virginia Tech had a comeback in the frozen tundra of South Bend to beat Notre Dame!

-- Nothing got weird in Raleigh, as Miami beat NC State by 14.

-- Georgia Tech's offense was basically entirely accomplished in three plays during a win over Virginia.

-- Dalvin Cook set the school's career rushing record in Florida State's win over Syracuse!

-- We knew Pitt's offense was good, but...how did they manage 56 points against Duke?

-- Clemson let off the gas, and the STEAMIN' DEACONS COVERED!

-- Boston College won in a blowout! Over an AAC team!!

-- UNC gave up almost 400 rushing yards to an FCS team!

As always, they finish out with the #GoACC Moment of the Week, and the Brian VanGorder Memorial "You Tried" Award -- both of whom go towards a whole team effort at being terrible.

Joey checked into the podcast from the middle of nowhere, the internet lag was hysterical, and he and Mike broke down all of the games coming up in Week 12. Plenty of College Football Playoff Rankings discussion, the arguments for Louisville and Clemson for a playoff spot, and we "diligently" put our two cents in on all of the weekend's match-ups (even UNC and The Citadel).

Mike and Joey are back, talking about a WILD weekend of ACC football, featuring...

-- Georgia Tech went into Blacksburg armed with half of their second-string offense, and managed to beat the Hokies convincingly.

-- Clemson should have beaten Pittsburgh a dozen different ways, and still found a way to lose a home game for the first time in a LONG time.

-- North Carolina started the weekend off right, by losing the Victory Bell in Durham to give Duke its first ACC win of the year.

-- Louisville was in trouble going into the fourth quarter against Wake Forest! They almost covered a 35-point spread anyways.

-- Florida State, NC State, and Miami took care of business against Boston College, Syracuse, and Virginia, respectively.

-- Notre Dame won a game!

Plus, they finish out by awarding the #GoACC Moment of the Week to one of the conference's most unlikely candidates, and the Brian VanGorder Memorial "You Tried" Award goes to a whole team, for old times' sake.

Week 11 Preview is here, as Mike and Joey discuss all of the impending action for the upcoming weekend. Duke and North Carolina face off in an in-state rivalry on Thursday night, Virginia Tech faces off in a Coastal tilt against Georgia Tech, and Louisville and Clemson will look to continue their potential paths to the College Football Playoff.

Mike and Joey are back, recapping an interesting Week 10 in the ACC, including...

-- Mike's interesting experience with the Duke student section on Saturday.

-- Notre Dame's Brian Kelly *might* not be able to coach his way out of a paper bag at this point.

-- Boston College's defense held Lamar Jackson to only 416 yards and 7 touchdowns! That's pretty good!

-- North Carolina was busy pulling away while Georgia Tech completely fell apart in the second half.

-- Miami broke a 4-game losing streak (and scored 51 in the process!) in a huge win over Pittsburgh.

-- Wake Forest played their game and beat Virginia, and now the Steamin' Deacons are BOWL ELIGIBLE!

-- Clemson murdered Syracuse. It was real ugly.

-- Virginia Tech managed to survive a surprisingly close game against Duke.

-- Florida State completed their comeback with a late score to take down NC State in Raleigh.

The #goacc Moment of the Week is also awarded (and pulls double-duty) this week, while the Brian VanGorder Memorial "You Tried" Award goes to yet another awful defensive performance.
