    The Lost Episode
As the Bastards of Art movement moves forward Episodes 23 and 24 never made it to the editing station. Jon and I spent 6 months working on this project to get it off the ground. Our goal was 20 episodes. We actually made it past that.
Jon is moving on to work on new projects and he will still pop on the show when we can nail him down. So until the next chapter of the Bastards of Art here is the unedited episode 23

    Direction
Being an Artist is a calling.  Somedays it is more of an obsession than a pursuit.  The question is, what do you wanna do with your artistic gift?
Like all gifts, its a shame to shove it in the corner and ignore it.  You must learn how to appreciate what you have been given.  How do you release  your art back into the world?
It this Episode of the Bastards of Art Podcast, Matt and John discuss what it is like to live with the power of being an artist and what to do with those talents.

    The SketchBook
The spearhead of our ego. The Sketchbook is an uncomfortable little book that hold our “could be’s” and “would have been’s”.   Truthfully, it is rare to see a sketch book filled form cover to cover in perfected art.  A sketch book is just what it is, a book for sketching.
Sketch: a rough or unfinished drawing or painting, often made to assist in making a more finished picture.
So why put so much pressure on yourself to have the best rough pictures? Some of us take the long way around the mountain before we can find that final image. The Bastards of Art Episode 19 encourages the artist in you to let go and use the sketch book for what it is, a tool for the bigger process.
Enjoy this podcast with Matt and Jon as they discuss their own use of sketchbooks.
