Mr. Matthew Durkee served in the US Army in Korea from 1990 - 1998 before getting his BA in Special Education, his MA in Military Psychology and soon will be getting his doctorate in Traumatology and Community Counseling. Now he serves as the Director of the Veterans Center in Edmonds College located in Washington St. We dive into some ways trauma effects us and puts a name to it so people who are suffering can identify what is going on with them and seek the help they need specifically for that. Powerful testimony from a woman who lost 3 of her 4 children to a house fire and dying herself trying to save them only to come too and finding out they are gone. She dives into her survivors guilt and addiction which led to chaos in her personal life.
