  • Grace vs. Grit

We've clearly seen (for the past 3 weeks) how INCREDIBLE the good news of salvation is. I've been thinking to myself, who wouldn't want this?! Peace with God? No Condemnation? This sounds awesome! BUT - who can afford something like that?! If you're like me, you tend to think of these amazing benefits as something you need to attain through studious effort and meticulous obedience. But this Sunday, we'll look at how the most amazing thing about salvation isn't just what God provides for us, but how he makes it available to us.

  • Justification

Have you ever stood before a judge, knowing the facts were against you? I have! This Sunday, we are stepping into the courtroom as we continue our series in Romans 3. We’ll be looking at one of the most beautiful and life-altering words in the entire Bible: Justification. I’ll be sharing a story about a "red curb" parking ticket that points us toward a much deeper "Divine Dilemma." How can a God who is perfectly Holy and Just look at our "rap sheet" and declare a verdict of "Not Guilty"?

We are going to discover that the Gospel is not just a pardon—it is a Great Exchange. It is a message grounded in Grace, enveloped in Love and anchored in Substitution. I can’t wait to treasure the beauty of the Cross with you this Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 AM. Come ready to celebrate the fact that because of Jesus, the war is over and the verdict is in!

  • Redemption

We love our anthems of independence. We belt out the chorus to "Free Fallin’" and celebrate a world where we can do what we want, when we want. But have you ever noticed that "free falling" usually ends with a crash? The truth is, we live in a world that worships autonomy, yet we’ve never felt more bound—to our notifications, our appetites, and the "Algorithm of Approval." We think we’re the captains of our souls, but we’re often just pacing back and forth in a cell of our own making.

If you’re tired of the heavy burden of trying to be your own savior, come discover the beauty of redemption. Jesus didn't come to "rebrand" your image; He came to pay the ransom for your life. Join us this Sunday as we discover what it means to finally stop belonging to the fall and start belonging to the One who caught you.

  • Propitiation

The heart of the Good News—the diamond of your spiritual life—is the cross.

The more I dive into the depth of God’s love and mercy at Calvary, only one word comes to mind: "Wow!"

Wow! The darkness of sin washed away.

Wow! The grace and mercy of God on display.

Wow! The justice of God fully satisfied.

Wow! The love of God perfectly demonstrated.

Join us this Sunday as we look through the jeweler's loupe at the first "refraction" of this diamond. We’ll see the exact moment where God’s justice and mercy kiss, leaving us overwhelmed by the depth of His love.

Perhaps the reason we sometimes lack the motivation to be "Good News" people where we live, work and play is simply because we’ve lost sight of the brilliance of the stone. Let’s rediscover it together.

  • The Power of Contrast

Have you ever noticed how magical a hot tub can be when you're using it outside during the winter? Or how much better a cup of coffee is when you've got a cookie to balance the bitter notes? So much of life is made better when it is placed in the proper context of contrast. It's THAT reality that we're trying to capitalize on in this message. We'll spend the month of March looking at the beauty of the Gospel through Romans 3:21-26, but in order to appreciate the beauty of that precious jewel, we need to set it in the contrasting backdrop of our terrible sin.

  • The Whole Gospel for the Whole World

What if the gospel is bigger than we imagined? This week we continue our journey into the Gospel of the Kingdom, the good news that in Jesus, God’s reign has broken into our world. It is a gospel for the whole person, meant to be proclaimed and demonstrated, shaping not only what we believe but how we live.

We’ll focus on what it looks like to embody this kingdom vision through lives marked by holiness, love, faithfulness and Spirit-empowered witness, joining God’s mission from our neighborhoods to the nations. We’re extremely honored to welcome Gideon Banda, our guest preacher and speaker for the SOULS Conference!

Gideon serves at the forefront of a vibrant movement of church planting and renewal in Kenya through Renewal Project Africa, and he carries a compelling vision for the whole gospel transforming whole communities. Come ready to be encouraged, stretched and sent!

  • Signposts of the Kingdom

We can all agree that we live in a "bad news" world marked by anxiety and confusion. Too often, it feels like we are wandering without a map. But you weren't created for a small life of self-preservation; you were created to be a Signpost of the Kingdom.

This Sunday, we’re looking at how our ordinary lives: our work, our families, and even our trial, can become irresistible pointers to a King whose reign changes everything from Annapolis to the nations. I’ll be sharing a very practical way to help you flourish in the Kingdom of God, even in the middle of a busy week. We’ll also hear incredible stories from our global partners about how this revolution is unfolding across the globe.

Don’t settle for small living—come and see how you were made for something much bigger!

  • The Party Everyone's Invited To

This Sunday we begin our February missions focus with week one of The Good News of the Kingdom. Missions don’t stall because God isn’t moving, but because our worship sometimes fades into indifference. Drawing from Jesus’ parable of the wedding feast and the powerful reminder that “missions exist because worship does not,” we’ll confront the subtle ways distraction, busyness and even good things can dull our passion for God’s Kingdom. Join us to hear about God's glory among the nations.

  • The Banana Board of Spiritual Ripeness

Prayer, Care and Share are the 3 markers of intentionality of a Good News Person. How and when to deploy those habits will vary from day to day, and person to person. Making evangelism more of an art than a science. In our final installment of Good News, I will share some important insights in how best to live these habits our everyday walks of life.

  • Share

Prayer, Care and Share are the 3 markers of intentionality in a Good News Person. This week, we want to talk about what it means to share the good news - it's about telling others our story WITH Jesus and sharing the story OF Jesus. We'll have a special interview with a Bay Area member (Jenn) who will tell us what this marker looks like in her life. See you Sunday!
