Have you ever been driving to somewhere unfamiliar (with your GPS running, of course) only to realize you've missed a few turns in favor of driving a more familiar path to work or school or your kid's soccer field? Our brains have an amazing ability to slip into auto-pilot, even when we don't ask them to! It's that VERY tendency that we are going to go after in this exploration of the book of Jonah - let's get out of Sunday-School-Jonah-Autopilot and reroute our brains to a new path and a fresh perspective on a familiar story. I think that you'll find there's more in this narrative than you remember from Veggie Tales (no shade on Veggie Tales, to be clear)!

This Sunday, we continue our series, Beyond the Bills by confronting the financial stress that weighs so many of us down. If you've ever felt overwhelmed by debt or simply wondered if God can truly sustain you in uncertain times, this message is for you. This weekend, we are discovering the spiritual key that gives you access to the Jehovah-Jireh—the God who provides in ways you cannot imagine.

God's supply is not limited by our bank account or the economy. Join us this Sunday for a time of worship and a message that will empower you to live "Beyond the Bills" by entrusting your whole life to God's way.

We live in times of increased financial stress. Whether it’s the high cost of groceries and utilities, the stress of saving for a down payment, or anxieties about college funds and retirement accounts, the burdens feel heavy. We also face new fears, from the government shutdown to the rapid transformation of the job market by AI. Does the Bible offer practical, daily guidance for our struggle with money? The answer is a resounding, "Yes!"

Beyond the Bills is not about giving to Bay Area. It’s about empowering each of us to steward our finances God's way and experience His blessings. Far too many of us feel constant financial anxiety. Yet if we grasp the practical wisdom the Bible offers, that can change! 

Join us this Sunday for a life-changing theology of money: specifically, what the bible says about how to earn and spend money God’s way. We look forward to seeing you!

Who is the Gospel for? Obviously, we want to be Good News People who show and share the Good News so that others might live. So it is JUST for those who haven't yet received it? What role does the gospel plays in the life of the believer (and what difference would that make)? Come Sunday as we explore that question together and wrap up our GOOD NEWS series. See you then! 

If you have a younger sibling, then you knew that (typically) the best way to get them to stop bothering you as a kid was to IGNORE them! Take away the reaction, and you take away their fun! But in many ways, when it comes to the Good News story, the situation is almost EXACTLY reverse: the story of the Good News is a story that requires a response. We can't ignore it because it's claims are too audacious and demanding. Come this Sunday as we explore what OUR response should be to the Good News. 

You know how, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is"? Once you know the story of the Good News (we're sinners, in need of saving, Jesus takes our punishment and offers us eternal life without cost), it kinda sounds... too good to be true! So how do we know that the Good News isn't fake news? Come join us on Sunday as we explore the proof that Jesus IS who he said He is!

We've been on a journey together through our 'Good News' series, getting honest about the real challenges we face. We’ve looked at the symptom: the undeniable brokenness we see in our world, and the sickness: the sin that separates us.

Now, it's time for the solution.

The most important part of the story isn't the problem—it's the Person who fixed it. This Sunday, everything points to Jesus. He is the ultimate solution to the brokenness of our hearts and our world. We can't wait to see you there! Invite a friend, grab a cup of coffee, and let's lift our focus to the solution together.

If you treat the symptoms instead of the sickness, you likely won't get better and you might actually get worse! Last week we saw the symptoms of brokenness in our world - and they're everywhere! But what actually caused these symptoms? What's at the root of the issue?

We have it as our goal this next year to focus on becoming Good News people in a world full of Bad News - we want to show and share the Good News of Jesus so that others might live. However, in order to begin showing and sharing the Good News, we think it's vital that we make sure we know what the Good News even is, and then allow it transform our own lives. Our world is full of bad news - the headlines speak for themselves. Let's join on the journey of discovering what we can do about it together!

At Bay Area, our vision is to help change the world by advancing the gospel in you, your neighbors, and the nations. Jesus invites us into the greatest mission of all time: bringing the Good News to every person, in every community, in every nation.

Jesus is still seeking. From Zacchaeus to our neighbors today, He sees the lost and calls them by name. And His plan hasn’t changed. God desires to partner with His people – to work through us to reach others.

As disciples of Jesus, we are all on a journey to become more like Jesus and help others do the same. That includes those who don’t yet know Him and those who do. 

This year we want to help and equip every single person in our Bay Area family to be Good News People and to take their next step in showing and sharing the Good News of Jesus, so that others might live.
