You cannot do anything to satisfy the requirements necessary for entering heaven and having intimacy with God. He is perfect, and even the most righteous person still will have sin in their heart on some level. Of course, most of us likely don’t think of ourselves as very righteous. We are more likely to look at ourselves as being too wicked for God, and that’s true. On our own, we are. But, as we’ll be reminded in today’s message from Pastor Mark, we’re made righteous through Christ – not through any good works we can achieve.
