  • For the LOVE of GOD touch the BURDEN Luke 11:46 (Episode #47)
For the LOVE of GOD touch the BURDEN Luke 11:46

Jesus comes over to dinner and drops some woes on your head.  But you deserve it.  You have totally missed the point of His relationship with you.  You made the classic external vs. internal error.  Jesus calls you to fix the internal, for His love, and then fix the outside.

OK, so I get the interior right.  How can I enact the right internal relationship?  Find a burden.  Use a finger to help.  Just one finger.  Listen to find yourself in the weight room of life.

  • Be Like the Queen of Sheba Luke11:31(Episode #45)
Be Like the Queen of Sheba Luke11:31

Jesus slams His contemporary generation as evil.  Then He pulls out an amazing lesson from one of the great curiosities of history: THE QUEEN OF SHEBA.  The woman ran a whole country.  She had 9000 POUNDS of gold to spare to give to Solomon as a hostess gift!  Sure beats a scented candle.

She is admirable in many ways.He says she is going to be on the good side of the judgment. 1 Kings 10: 1

    Listen and find out why!!!

  • What if I am an EVIL PERSON? Luke 11:13 (Episode # 43)

What if I am an EVIL PERSON?

But don't I do some nice things?

Wrestle with me about God's view of you.  Wrestle with me about YOUR view of you.

    Is Man Basically GOOD?

We get two not perfect human examples of giving and receiving.
Unfortunately, the news is we are not perfect, even evil.  Yikes.  But we know how to give at least a little.  I wonder if there is something to learn there.

After learning about the character of man and woman, we learn about the character of God.  He's a giver.  He actually wants us to ask, even ask a little "over the line".  He wants to make a new home, and boy do we need it.

You mean to tell me the Spirit of God choses a home that is imperfect mankind?  Imperfect womankind? Indwells?  Makes a H-O-M-E there.  It's too good to ask for, and yet He asks us to so ask.
    Listen and find out.

  • He is Asking US to impudently ask HIM. Luke 11:8 (Episode #42)
Asking us to impudently ask. Luke 11:8

The Lord is a giver.  We are not so much.  Today, we hear a story of a man who asks another man inconveniently, untimely, and immodestly.  And then we find his midnight friend respond.  And much more so God.

He asks us to cross the line a bit into boldness, persistence and maybe break some rules.  He asks us to :

Ask for what only He can give
Help us find what only He can find
Open what only He can open.

If you have a need like that, you will want to listen today.

    David's heart STRUCK him 2 Sam 24:10

His heart STRUCK him.  This is a trip to the core.  Listen and be struck.
