Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wonder

The ultimate moment of human, and spiritual history meet at the cross. It is a big day in heaven. It is a big day on earth.  On that day God does not promise separation from trouble. What God did promise HIMSELF.

There's not a single listener today who does not understand the prediction of Jesus: In this world you will have trouble.  But He doesn't stop there.  He asks us to TAKE HEART because of a new reality: I have OVERCOME THE WORLD.

Jesus foretells a day of sorrow that turns into JOY. Ironically, HE asks US to ask of HIM after this relationship is renewed. He asks us to pray and ask of Him in His name. Perhaps we should take Him at His word and actually do it.

There is a divine Chain of TRUTH that exists for your benefit.

It is a chain of information, a chain of TRUTH that  is Dependent upon the Chain of relationship in the Trinity

The Strength of this chain of Truth relies on the strength of the Trinity. So, how strong is this chain? As strong as the trinity.

Welcome to my favorite Bible passage discovery.  Jesus tells the disciples that it is BETTER IF HE GOES AWAY.  That just blows my mind.  

It is better in two ways. First, like artillery at a distance, Jesus continues to have an effect by INTERCEDING. Second, He sends a new, local help as well, the HELPER, the Holy Spirit.

Today we will introduce the passage that in it has THE CRAZIEST THING God ever said. Jesus, right before the arrest and crucifixion says, "It is BETTER for you if I go."

As we are being spiritually rescued, it makes little sense to RAGE AGAINST THE RESCUER. However, this is sometimes what we do.

 Scripture is not written primarily to give us comfort, but to give us the truth.

We are NOT Saved from: something that MIGHT POSSIBLY happen But from something that assuredly HAS ALREADY happened.

People sometimes rage against the Rescuer and against those associated with the Rescuer. One might even expect it.

Nobody likes to be hated.  But Jesus tells His followers to expect to be hated. Don't worry though, it is not because of you it is because of HIM.
