In general, who does God SHOW HIMSELF to? To Whom does He manifest His incredibleness? Well, He tells us that it is people who have TREASURED the previous things He has said.
Our future communication with God is colored by the character of our response to His past revelations. The care in which we have received His past manifestations predicts, in part, future manifestations. So then, let's be careful with what He has already said to demonstrate we care about what He will say now.

What struck me today is that we ALL start out as spiritual orphans: no family, no home, no attachment. It is tragic to even comprehend. BUT, the great news today is : I will not LEAVE YOU AS ORPHANS.
Jesus is the great ORPHAN-KILLER. By the Spirit, He is the Orphan un-maker. He makes us Family. Wow.

If you have SEEN me, you have SEEN the Father
If you have known me, you have KNOWN the Father

One of God's impossible tasks is to take our frail selves and make us fit to be with Him. Then He has to make access, to provide a way. I am the Way. The Truth. The Life.
His claims are exclusive. His Truth is really true. Life with Him will be perfectly satisfying. Listen 7 minutes today to think on this. Come back tomorrow for 7 minutes more by subscribing. Thank you so much for being here.

If only we had a heads-up BEFORE trouble hit out door. Peter gets one: "before the rooster crows", trouble is coming. He's not ready. Perhaps we can be more ready than he.
Let's stay close to the Person of God, the People of God, the Proclamations of God, and remember to humbly PLEAD before Him. Of course trouble is coming, maybe even soon. Let's be ready friends.

Peter is such a good example of being a BAD example and eventually a GOOD example. Today is not that day.
He mis-assesses his spiritual maturity by pledging to go with Jesus unto death. In fact, he doesn't go with Jesus unto BREAKFAST. We might take a bit of comfort in the fact that Peter's spiritual walk doesn't end with his failures before breakfast. What is important for Peter is of course the fall, but also what happens AFTER the Fall.

It is "commandment Thursday" and the crucifixion is Friday. Only Precious words are left. He calls this one a MUST DO, a commandment: Love One Another.
In fact, do it so well that the loving becomes a witness to the unbelieving world. They may not understand much, but they WILL UNDERSTAND THIS. Love one another.
And for us, subscribe if we have yet another day.

My surprise is that when Jesus told the disciples that "someone" would betray Him, they had no idea who this possibly could be! They didn't even have a good guess.
Judas did a spectacular job living a double life, a compromised life. By the time the big betrayal came down the road, he'd made many many micro-betrayal to ease that decision. We can learn from Judas' masterclass in what NOT to do.
