  • Is Jesus STRONG ENOUGH to fix death itself? S28e81 Jn11:1

Jesus has some stuff to show His followers. Here, He PROVES His power over death.

It is important.  It needs to be a settled issue. We will call upon this same topic when Jesus Himself rises from the dead. We will call upon this settled issue when our family members die in the faith.  Finally, we will need this reality when we ourselves die in this world.

Welcome to the amazing story of Lazarus rising from the dead.

  • Scripture cannot be broken S28e80 Jn10:31

Scripture makes an audacious claim about itself: Scripture cannot be broken.

There is a flawless internal consistency of the Bible that despite being penned by dozens of authors, (40), over thousands of years, it maintains a coherent and unified message from the first page to the last.  It is why this podcast can move between book and testaments and types of literature and stay on theme. This is one large set of evidence of the Books’ divine origin and perfect truthfulness. The only way to explain the perfect internal consistency is to acknowledge the Bible to be what it claims to be: God’s revelation of Himself in Word form.

It is for the church-goer and the one who has gone-far from the church.

  • The looming Cross S28e77 Jn10:14

Listen today to The looming Cross:

The cross looms, the willingness for it looms over the trinity

The Cross looms, the CENTRALITY of it looms over the gospel

The cross looms, the necessity for it, looms over humanity.

Though it is not specifically mentioned, it is effecting everything.

  • “The shepherd, I am the good one” S28e76 Jn10:11

The quality of the sheepfold is dependent upon the quality of the Shepherd.

The character of the flock is ultimately determined

By the character of the Shepherd.

Excellence of the experience of being a sheep correlates directly with

The EXCELLENCE of the Shepherd Himself.

    He is the Good Shepherd.

Let's also not forget to ask: How am I doing at being a good sheep?

  • The Door of Necessity. The Door of Invitation S28e74 Jn10: 7

What are doors for? Why does Jesus describe, with great intent, Himself as a DOOR? We should be Burdened by it; and Bounded by the truth of it.
It is a door of necessity: He is the "gotta go thru"  door.

The Door is by it’s nature an invitation

Hope youre inticed, curious, eager, willing. He’s the door.

    Get going.

  • The burden of “THE DOOR of Necessity” S28e73 Jn10:1

Jesus declares Himself as the Door.  It is a door of necessity , for there is but one way. It is a door to some pretty good stuff:
It is the pathway to the Place where the

PEOPLE of the Shepherd are gathered into

place of the Shepherd via the

PASSAGEWAY of the Shepherd to be with the

Person of the Shepherd under the

protection of the Shepherd. Join me there today and tomorrow if you like and subscribe:

  • Are You Ready for Belief? s28e72 Jn9:35

When it comes down to the most important part of getting your sight for the first time, we find the previously blind man ready, inclined towards belief. He has been prepared and leans in as soon as he has opportunity.

For others, wild horses couldn't have dragged them into belief! They were, to their shame, disinclined to belief.  They serve as our cautionary tale.
