FJ aka Fiancé Jake, or Jake Johnston joins us on this week's podcast. We talk welding and hunting but zero in a bit on the trials of the average hunter, the weekend warrior who gets out to hunt when they can while balancing work, marriage, family etc. How do expectations and goals change when you know you are only able to get out a couple hours a week? We also talk some about the challenges and benefits of hunting adjacent to Public Land.
Mike goes it alone this week. He talks about current habitat projects, food plot updates, and shares another short story from his upcoming devotional book.
We started our celebration of 4th of July weekend with a sentimental journey down memory lane. This week's conversation was mostly the sharing of memories about various camping trips we've taken as a family. Hope you enjoy and that some of our experiences bring up some of your own memories of family trips. We'd love to hear some of yours. Comment with some of your favorite camping trips.
Mike and Charlie talk about a number of projects they have undertaken this spring. From bees and food-plots to tree jobs and electric chainsaws. This weeks episode has a little bit of everything.

This week Mike and Charlie discuss various saws including the newest addition to our arsenal. They also talk a bit about some of the recent jobs we have been on and close the podcast out with a quick conversation about our new bee hive adventure.
This month Rachel and Mike traveled to our village in Senegal. This is Rachel's third trip and on this week's BCA we get the perspective of a high-school senior on what life is like in sub-Sahara Africa.
This week we talk with Travis Harmon of Creative Habitat about wildflowers, fruit trees, bee keeping and hunting.
We started purchasing wild flower seeds from Creative Habitat about three years ago and have been really impressed with the results. The colors, the quality, and the increased pollinators and other wildlife have brought a new level of joy to what we are doing on our property. You can find Creative Habitat online at
