Pat and Bo talk about Bo's vacation with his sister and aunt, uncle, and cousins. Bo got to go see his Gram and Grandpa in Florida and it was day after day of excitement. There were sea creatures and land creatures and an old man named Lou.

Pat and Alora get a little deep today because Pat really wants to know what kind of things Alora is inspired by.  Mostly because a young teenager, where their brain is all over the place with all kind of teenage thoughts, what makes her get up in the morning and why is she excited about certain things. 
We also dig into how Alora likes to accomplish things without anyone knowing. The argument that Pat makes about that is that you can try to accomplish something but if you don't tell anyone that you are doing it then it's a lot easier to quit doing it when things get tough and hard. Having an accountability buddy is a great thing to have and use when you are going through stuff because then you will have more drive to accomplish it.

Pat and Bo talk about Bo's sassiness. This isn't new at all. Ever since Bo was little he always argued and couldn't take "no" for an answer. There is a fight with everything that we do because he wants things to go his way and only his way.

Pat and Alora talk about her most recent sining solo that she had in front of the high school show choir group and high school band and how she got many complements from her own peers and high schoolers and got asked to sing in "Rock Band". Some group at school. She doesn't even know what it is but we will let you know when we know. 
Alora also had to write an essay that was thrown at the whole 8th grade class with a title of "Does money make you happy" if you listened to last weeks episode you would know her answer. Just kind of ironic.

Pat and Bo talk about how Bo pulled out one of his front teeth at school this week. Bo does have a high tolerance for pain. For Alora, Pat had to help her about 95% of the time to get loose teeth out. But not Bo, he's all about getting them out himself.

Pat and Alora have some different thoughts about money and what would make them happy. Money can't buy you happiness but it can make some stress go away. We all want a lot of money but for most of us that isn't a reality. But would a lot of money actually make you happy? 
They also talk about wrapping present's and how bad Pat is at it and how he and his wife see wrapping gifts differently.

Pat and Bo talk about their Elf on the Shelf's recent hiding spots. Bo is excited every morning to get up and look for Elfy and then come and talk to mom or dad while they are sleeping to tell them where he is. 
The magic of Christmas is real and to see it in your child's face over a silly elf is priceless.

Alora has some questions for Pat and it starts with " have you ever been arrested?". Youll have to listen to find out the answer. But I bet its different than you thought it was. 
Then Alora is doing a weightlifting section in gym and some how Pat got Alora to do burpees for 3 minutes. Alora tells her side of the story and how she felt post 3 min .

Pat and Bo talk about Bo starting to things more and more by himself. Showers, picking out his own cloths, getting dressed, getting food for himself. All things that he can do, and do well.
 
As a dad it is a great moment when your kids can start doing things by themselves but at the same time you think about the things that may never have to do again that are bonding moments. All of these things are great to let go of, but know that it's sad when it's gone.

Pat and Alora talk food today, A LOT! Why? Cause they love it and we're in the season of family gathering or friend gatherings and when we do that we eat. Shove our faces and enjoy it all.
As you should. If you are a generally good eater going off the deep end from time to time is not that bad. Everyday....bad. But you need to enjoy the overeating from time to time cause food is delicious. 
Cheesepie sounds gross, but what would the alternative be? Cheesecake?
