We struggle with Bo and his eating from time to time because he can get pickey. His mother and I are only so lenient when it comes to eating the food we make. Both Alora and Bo have foods that they like and don't like and thats ok. It's making sure they are eating healthy (most of the time) is what is the important part.

Pat and Alora dig into what school is like right now. Alora is hybrid so 2 days at school and 3 days virtual. She talks about the differences that she deals with compared to last year. Is it the same? Not even close.
We also talk about picking out your cloths and how asking mom to help her was a good thing to do, mostly for mom. And its ok to ask dad for help too. But probably not fashion, not a good idea. Unless you like sweatpants and hoodies, I'm not going to help.

New kids, teachers, protocols, it's all weird for kids and parents.  Your child is going to adapt and as a parent you do to. Have your own beliefs, but don't bang them into your child's head. They have enough to worry about, and let them make their own choices.

Pat and Bo talk about Bo's first couple of days in Kindergarden. Bo gets to ride the bus to and from school everyday and currently loves it. Bo talks about what they do at school and what they do when they go outside and play.

   Charles Bolden is the Head Coach of the UW Eau Claire Baseball team that he couldn't be more excited. From Being introduced as the head coach back in early February, going through recruiting through a pandemic, and balancing his wife and daughter through a move from northern Illinois to Eau Claire, Charles crushed it.
   Charles told me that he is probably the only coach in the whole USofA that is happy for this pandemic because it really gave him a lot of positive opportunities to do all the work that he needed to do to get ready for 2021 baseball season.
   We talk about the mental game of baseball, how his players are already finding a rhythm with each other and his approach to making the most successful team as he can.

Pat and Alora talk about schools starting in a couple of days. We talk about what she is excited about, nervous about, but mostly going into it with a positive attitude to get the most out of it as she can.
Alora also got a new haircut and its pretty cute!

Personal PSA - I talk about this on the podcast and I'm gonna say it here:
  Parents: Be patient with the teachers. They are amazing people that are working their tail off to get your kids back in school. I know many that are just as nervous as you as a parent, if not more. We have to entrust them with our children and that they are doing what they need to do to keep the kids, and themselves safe.

Thank you teachers/educators for all the hard work that you have had to do to get school up and running. This is one more step in slowly finding the new normal.

Nathan Holland is a Cardiovascular PA, an officer in the US Army, a husband to an amazing wife with who they have four children with. Currently Nathan is getting ready to be deployed and with the help of his family will make this deployment as seamless as they can.
Nathan and I did deep on a lot of topics today an this is by far the longest podcast that I've ever done.
