Today during a windstorm and without power at his house, Pretty Mike sits down with Justin Scholl to talk about failing. Not something you usually talk about when training for your next event.  But with Mike dnfing the Ironman and Justin dnfing the 100 miler.  This seems like the best time to talk about it.  

Today Mike gets another chance to talk with Tammy Kovaluk. Tammy is the founder and Race director at Rise Challenge events.  Last year Mike traveled down twice to run her OCR events in Bend Oregon.    Mike and Tammy recap the 2021 race season for Rise Events.   These races are not your normal run around, climb walls, and get muddy events.  They have live fire, breach and secure, and axe Throwing along with the walls and more. Mike and Tammy talk about the idea behind her event and where her future events will go.    

Today Mike talks with Amber Johnston, she's part of the BROCR team and a Machete Madness Pro athlete. We had her on back, way back, 304 episodes ago on Episode 4 and again on episode 208. Much has changed, we spoke with her when she had just moved to Alaska, then when she hit Texas and got to running OCRs down there. COVID shuts down the world, we talked with Amber about surviving the shutdown. Now, still dealing with COVID Shutdowns a year later, Amber finally looked into dealing with back pain she's had since her teens.
