This month Boggs sits down to talk with Adam Courtney about his life, where it was headed, and how he transformed it through CrossFit and Sobriety. A few year back Adam was headed down a dark path drinking every day before and after work, he was up to 267# and not happy with how things were going. He recognized his problem and reached out for help. After a few meetings he found his place for sobriety in a CrossFit Gym. Have a listen, and if you need help , be sure to reach out. We are all here for you.

This week Mike and some of the BeastNet Family partook in https://www.driven2perform.com/ Mark Ballas' Green Beret Virtual Challenge. After the event Mike, Brian, Felicia, and Coach Elise all sit down and recap the race.
Mike reaches out to Coach Beast Elise to talk all things physical recovery this week. Mike has finally bit the bullet and retained her as an actual coach for his continued journey of weight loss and physical recovery. Long term listeners would know that host Mike struggles with his weight and his overall physical fitness. He has sustained many injuries in his life and his go to recovery has been to sit on the couch and eat potato chips. Mike is down 50# this year and we will start to check in monthly with Mike and his coach for his continued transformation.
Elise specializes in recovery PT and has lots of solid advise to offer Mike. We should start to see more follow up episodes with her checking up on Mike's progress.

Today Boggs talks with Julie Wolff from OCRaddix, Scenic City Mud Run, and Celtic Warrior challenge. Boggs got a chance to talk with her fresh off the course at the Jacksonville Spartan on June 13th. They first discuss everything going on with OCR in the world, Julie's Races and her team. One of her races this year, Scenic City Mud run is a 3 event weekend with Mark Ballas of Driven2Perform. This sounds like it's going to be one heck of a weekend Sept 11-12th. Don and Julie finish out talking about her experience in the first US Spartan race since the COVID shutdowns.

Today's BeastNet comes from a strange place. Brandon Valentine from Love and Hate Radio(Pretty Mike's alter Ego) forgot which show he was recording and spent an hour talking with Comedian Andy Vargo about fitness, exercise and gave a real good recap of the Spartan Virtual Ultra Mike ran. This works out to be a great crossover and you should take some time to get acquainted with Brandon Valentine if you have a minute. Fun things happen on Love and Hate Radio.

BeastNet Officially lost their minds.
After the race They all get on Zoom to discuss the race, what worked and what didn't, and how they finished Mike and Don got 31 miles done with the help of Christine and Virginia fo rthe entire event. A whole cast of race family came from all around the State to join for a lap or two. Charity finished with 35 miles, and Ryan the overachiever knocked it out of the park with 5 miles. Granted Ryan was the MC for the event on their ZOOM race party pit.
Since this was an ORM event, we figured we would record this episode in tribute to their style. Recording the whole time and send it up with minimal edits. This race was allot of fun and it sounds like the BeastNet team in the South Sound of Washington has already committed to the next ORM UltraVirus event on July 18th.
When these four get together things get crazy, funny, and at times unintelligible. You will have to give it a listen.

Today Pretty Mike gets to talk with Stephane Oliver about his path from Paris France to Southern Oregon . Along the way Stephane went from the top of Track and Field in France to almost unable to walk. He got back out and went into extreme sports but injuries still plagued him. A break for Modeling and eventually he decided to give Spartan OCR a run and found his place. Competing from day one for age group just because he wanted the smaller crowds he made sure he pushed and kept competitive. 2020 was set to be his breakout year in Spartan, but, as with everything else it's been postponed for the Covids. Right now he's focused on Running, leading self training workouts of Facebook and Instagram as well as Parkour and ninja training.
We ran into some technical difficulties and lost Stephane. But he is such a lively and fun guy to talk with, you know we will have him back in the future.

Through our journey running OCR many of us have found that not only are we Spartans, but, we find that we are also on a path of sobriety and the race is an outlet for us. Many guests will use their real names, some will use false names for anonymity. If a guest has chosen to remain anonymous, please respect that and just listen. We will not share names or stories of anyone but our own on this show.
Today we hear some of the story of Terry "Tatted Ninja" Lamb. Terry is a trainer, former Spartan employee, and motivational speaker. We have a great conversation and talk about things like: why he has a check engine light on his forehead, working the steps any why they are important, and we finish out talking about our favorite memories from on the course.
