First and foremost, can you like this episode on whatever platform you are using/seeing this? Facebook especially has gone to the wolves with politics and pandemics. We need to see something uplifting. Ken's Story is one of the things that's uplifting.
For 2020 Ken and his roommate had planned 9 Trifectas, bought all the flights, booked the hotels/AirBnB, and then,

Today's episode with Lisa-Anne, Chris, and Sirena ran long, really long. So we split it into two episodes.
In part two today they discuss what got each of them into racing, what it was like on course, and how they all met. Spoiler, the episode picture tells the story.
They continue the talk about OCR family and how it effects everything they do in life. In 2020 Sirena and Chris put together a few fundraisers to help fund a new service dog for Trystan, their daughter with Dravet Syndrome, and how the OCR community came together to make it happen.

Today Mike gets into the Guest Chair and is interviewed by Elliot, Virginia Nickelson's young Spartan. Elliot is 10 years old and a 6th grader in Everett WA who got into Spartan Races 3 years ago. She is a competitive gymnast who trains year round and is planning on doing her first GORUCK Light this year. She has a heart for the special needs community working with kids with all abilities to play all kinds of sports and do OCR races.
This is a fun episode and a nice break from the usual show. Elliot starts out a little nervous, but once Elliot and Mike hit a stride this is a great episode. Let us know what you think about this special edition.

Today's episode with Lisa-Anne, Chris, and Sirena ran long, really long. So we split it into two episodes. (you'll have to listed to part two, there is a sequence of about 5 minutes of laughter I am going to have to use as part of the best of episode someday)
They discuss the lock down and and it's effect on them. Recap Chris doing the ORM UltraVirus 2 and UltraVirus 3. They talk about the effect of race family on the course. Chris talks about how she's never seen someone who can talk for 31 miles like Mike and how it helped her through.
In 2018 Trystan, their daughter with Dravet Syndrome, was able to do the Special Spartan Kids Race. In the past Ainsley's Angels has taken her though some road races and Chris and Sirena discuss the future of getting Trystan through some entire mud races(More Heart Than Scars).
