Today Mike gets another chance to talk with Tammy Kovaluk. Tammy is the founder and Race director at Rise Challenge events.  Last weekend Mike traveled down to run her OCR Battle of the High Desert in Bend Oregon.    Mike and Tammy recap the race from 9/26 and went over the plan for the Troops Challenge on 10/17/2020   These races are not your normal run around, climb walls, and get muddy events.  They have live fire, breach and secure, and axe Throwing along with the walls and more. Mike and Tammy talk about the idea behind her event and where her future events will go.

Today Pretty Mike James sits down and discusses Casey Noelle Hubbard and Virginia Nickelson's recent completion of the GORUCK Team Assessment. This year was the first year of a women's division at this event.  Casey and Virginia are a bit of an odd team as they spent a year training together for the Team Assessment virtually with one another.  Sending videos and training plans back and forth on the internet.  Planning, executing, and preparing halfway across the country from each other.

Casey and Virginia finally met in person AT the event in Ohio and managed to complete the 48 hours special forces training based event.

Today Lisa-Anne gets to interview T-Rex(Brett Milks).  For the last year or so Brett has been doing OCR and road races in an inflatable T-Rex suit.  Brett Recently ran the Savage Maryland and managed to bring home 6 medals from the event.  Brett and Lisa have a great time talking about the Savage event and all the other events Brett does to raise money for local charities.  Brett has taken the COVID shutdown as an opportunity to train and run Virtual races for charity.  In 2021 Brett is planning to dominate the Spartan Stadium Series.  Be sure to follow Brett and see his progress on Facebook, Insta, and more.

Today Brother Boggs continues to talk Local Flavors with Race Directors who are still putting events on in 2020.  Robb Mccoy of F.I.T. Challenge is one of those Race Directors.  Not only is Robb still able to put on races, but, he has 5 more this year.  4 trail races and one obstacle.  He kicks off the remainder of the year with the Survival of the F.I.T.est 24 hour trail run on October 24th.  The Trailfecta October 25th - November 26th - December 6th 2020.  And the F.I.T. XIV that was rescheduled from April 4th to November 21st.

Today Lisa talks with Aimee Kohler, On Mountain training Manager and Race director for Blue Mountain Resort.  

Blue Mountain is the Annual host to the Spartan Palmerton race.  2020 shut down Spartan, but #OCRISNOTDEAD and Aimee has decided to have an OCR the weekend Spartan was supposed to be there. 

Becasue of COVID they have to keep the numbers lower, but Blue Mountain uses RFID on the resort and they been able to use this as a COVID precaution tracking program.  Racers will be staggered and the RFID will help to track and ensure they are in compliance.
