You might remember Ryan from Episode 104 where we talked to Ryan just after he had a season ending injury at the Sinister 7.

Today   Pretty Mike talks with Russ Blatt of OCR Buddy.   Mike and Russ discuss what got him into OCR and why he made the App you need.  OCR Buddy is a super cheap (1.99 lifetime membership) App that allows you to build your race schedule, communicate with your Buddies where you will be and set up racing together.  They spend allot of time talking about the app and how it works so I won't duplicate it here.  But something you should know is Russ donates the proceeds from the APP to local charities in New York.

Through our journey running OCR many of us have found that not only are we Spartans, but, we find that we are also on a path of sobriety and the race is an outlet for us.  Many guests will use their real names, some will use false names for anonymity.  If a guest has chosen to remain anonymous, please respect that and just listen.  We will not share names or stories of anyone but our own on this show.

Today Pretty Mike gets to interview Mark James.  Triathlete, Toughest Mudder, and currently Navy Seal training instructor.  Mark talks about growing up a swimmer and how it helped with his transition into being a Triathlete.  They continue the discussion talking about what got Mark into Tough Mudder and his quest for the Grail.   They talk about his achievements, living in Seattle for a while, Scuba diving, the fact Mark hasn't done a Spartan Race yet, and much more.

Can you believe it's been a month eh?  

Charity and Ryan Fick are back to bring you another special podcast talking with some of our friends from Canada.  Today they talk with Genevieve Cholette of Victoria BC.  She migrated from Ottawa recently and talks about the difference it makes to travel off Vancouver Island to races how that effects her.  She also elaborates on this being her 10th year running Spartan and how if it hadn't been for the community she found in Tough Mudder her passion may have waned.  Ryan and Charity talk Worlds Toughest and discuss the hope that it'll happen this year with the acquisition of Tough Mudder at Spartan.  This podcast goes all over the place about training, equipment, shoes, and more.  You'll have to listen as there is too much to type here!

Today  Hammer talks with Casey Bateman from the EPIC Series about their expansion to 10 events this year and the partnership with Sagitta series and their events that are part of  it.   If you haven't tried EPIC series events yet, you really need to.  They offer many different challenge levels and its a "Clean" event that your family can spectate the whole event. Oh, and they have archery in the event!  I'll just leave it there.

Today Pretty Mike talks with "tiny but MIGHTY" Kate West.  They talk about what got her into OCR, starting with soccer and moving on to running.  She tlaks about how she passes the time with "dad" jokes and having fun trailing and lifting.  This episode they spend a lot of time talking about #raceLOCAL in the Midwest and how these smaller family run OCRs are what got her hooked into the sport before she hit the Spartan circuit.  They also touch on running AG and her transitioning into elite in 2020.  With her being 4'11.25" many of the obstacles are huge by comparison but she tackles them and hopes to inspire more people to give it a shot.
