Some games are universally loved, some are universally hated, and then there are some games that are loved by a small subset of people. But those people REALLY love those games. This episode the Beat of the Month crew are looking at cult classic games! These are games that have retained a special place in people's hearts even though they might not have been best sellers. And boy do we run through a lot of games! Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Tomba, Madworld, Titanfall 2 Campaign, Zone of the Enders - and more! Did we join the cult and jump on the bandwagon, or did we align with the rest of the world and these games are destined to be forgotten again? Take a listen and find out!

For this month's theme the Beat of the Month crew dive into the depths of their backlog and pull out the forgotten content of most games - Downloadble Content! It's all too common to finish the base game and move onto something else without seeing what DLC a game has to offer. We took a look at our games and checked out all the DLC that we passed up along the way including Bioshock Infinite, Control, Resident Evil, Witcher 3, and more.

The Beat of the Month crew reflect on their favorite (and least favorite) boss fights of all time! There are a TON of games that we talk about including Metal Gear Solid, Shadow of the Colossus, Sonic the Hedgehog, and more! We also talk a bit about boss fights in general - how important are boss fights in a game? What are the most annoying types of bosses? What makes a good boss fight? And then as usual we round things out with some boss trivia. Do you know who the final boss was in Twisted Metal 2? Listen in to find out!

Instead of sharing our top 3 games individually in a friendly manner, we battle it out to defend our 8 individual top picks for which game should take the top spot. Will a retro game like Pole Position take the checkered flag? How about an arcade favorite like Cruisin' USA? Then you've got console classics Burnout Paradise, Forza Horizon 5, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, and of course an entry from Mario Kart.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and the Beat of the Month crew are taking some time to reflect on what games we are thankful for. Not necessarily the greatest games ever made, but games that we are glad exist or that we have fond memories of. 

We look through a cornucopia of games including some early Nintendo classics, some more obscure titles like Steel Battalion, some more recent heavy hitters such as Witcher 3 - and more! We also have a round table discussion and compare various games to classic Thanksgiving dishes. What's a game that you would consider the main course turkey? How about a game that provides the comfort of mac and cheese? Or the Remastered HD gravy that made Xenoblade extra special on Switch?
