Beat of the Month: Video Game Podcast

The beat of the month crew take an expedition to one of the most highly anticipated games of 2021 - Outriders! We cover the weapons, the enemies, the shooting, the looting - it’s all here! We also take a deep dive in to the story, so if you haven’t played and are worried about spoilers - you have been warned! So grab your gear, mount up, and join us on this trip to a brave new world.

Here at Beat of the Month we like games, so what better way to spend an episode than playing a game about games? We play some rounds of classic 20 questions where we try and guess what game the other person is thinking of by asking a series of Yes or No questions. Think you can figure it out before we did? With a full crew of 8 people, 3 games each, and a bunch of honorable mentions - that’s a whole lot of relaxation! We cap things off as usual with some trivia about relaxing games. The beat of the month crew take a T-Spin through the puzzle games we played in May. There is a whole lot more than just Tetris to unpack here (although we talk about Tetris a lot, too). These aren't necessarily the worst games ever, but when we played them something didn't quite click with us. Or some people think Super Mario 64 was disappointing and might need a mental evaluation. King Hippo don't have nothing on the Beat of the Month Crew! This week we talk about our time in the ring with Super Punch Out!! for the SNES (which doesn't have King Hippo...) BUT - it does have a boxing clown, a martial artist who smacks you with his cane, and an arsenal of other wacky boxers looking to knock you out!
